I haven't seen MF in perhaps a year but happened to catch today's strip. $100 says that Obama has never even heard of Tinsley or MF, but you have to admire the size of Tinsley's ego - and persecution complex - to some believe otherwise. Doubtless Tinsley believes that he is so important and influential that the White House has him on some sort of "enemies" list.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33297721.post-42989721720282147412009-07-06T20:39:52.736-07:002009-07-06T20:39:52.736-07:00It's Mallard Fillmore. It could have been honest, could have been true, and could have pointed out the basic idea that new technology can help keep people free if they are willing to fight. Praise the Iranian people for their courage and resourcefulness, point out how the American spirit of democracy (such as it is) is being taken up by other nations.

Instead we get a bit of self congratulatory backslapping, self aggrandizement, and comparisons that make things rather...strange shall we say. Fox is seen by a lot of people as a partisan network, just as MSNBC is, Obama doesn't seem to be trying to shut them down, nor does he seem to be trying to silence talk radio or Mallard Fillmore. Partially because the people who tend to partake in them are either partisans with their ideology or people like us who have fun mocking them. Either way, not much for 'fighting tyranny' or 'truth to power.' I'd also have less trouble respecting this if he didn't act as though any act of dissension by a liberal equated to automatic hatred of America and treason.Iron Dragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13376669425414444417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33297721.post-55185556161454846542009-07-06T14:34:26.052-07:002009-07-06T14:34:26.052-07:00What, no mention of the delusion that Obama wants ...What, no mention of the delusion that Obama wants to shut down Fox News and talk radio?
