Usually we only see this bit of faux outrage around Tax day. Here Mallard turns it into something of purest boredom.

Yes, yes, yes, the top two percent pay the bulk of income taxes BECAUSE THEY CONTROL MOST OF THE WEALTH, AND "THE FREELOADER FIFTY PERCENT" PAYS SALES TAXES AND SO ON BUT HEY, NEVERMIND, REALITY'S LIBERAL BIAS AND ALL THAT BLARG BLARGH BLARGH FART FART FART.
Where are the jobs the Bush Tax Breaks were supposed to create, Batshit? You never seem to find time to address THAT for some reason...
Not to worry duck, many voters WILL remember that the republicans and tea-partiers keep trying to do all they can to kill medicare, social security, and destroy as many jobs as they can. They did manage to put many FAA contractors out of work, over a squabble about a few million in support for small airports...resulting in the FAA loosing billions in revenue over the next month. Obama's main disadvantage is that he won't be getting billions in contributions from billionaires, insurance companies, wall street, and oil companies, etc., or free political advertising on TV.
No longer content to just clutch The Sheaf and think quietly at an unseen audience, Tinsley's Strawbama has upped the ante by kicking his loafer-clad feet up disrespectfully on the Resolute Desk, in an unseen yet anatomically impossible way.
Golly, Brucie -- maybe those people aren't concerned about how high the tax rate is because they're too preoccupied with how they're going to pay their expenses and put food on the table, because they don't earn enough money to pay income tax (although they're still subject to every other kind of tax imaginable).
You probably would have thought of that if you weren't such a willfully ignorant political lap-dog.
Yes, life would totally be better if nearly 50% of Americans paid more of their income tax to the government. Because obviously they are not paying taxes because they've been chosen to buy their votes, not because say, they're making so little money that to take any of it means they'll have to chose between food, heat, running water, shelter, and adequate clothing.
Tinsley, like other fans of this ideology, feel free to ignore payroll taxes because, by their stated logic, "you get something back, and therefore it isn't really a tax!"
More sensible people have pointed out that, by this same logic, since most people want to be defended, money for the defense budget also wouldn't be a tax; since most people want to drive on smooth roads, money for road construction isn't really a tax; and so on. Conservatives think (and want others to think) that "tax" refers to the government taking money out of their pockets and giving it to undeserving minorities.
Of course, since Social Security is a "pay as you go system" it's not even true that YOU are "getting something back"; you're just paying the benefits of the people who are collecting it NOW.

Those lucky duckies will never know the sorrow of finding a parking place for a stretch limo! Sometimes you just have to yell and yell at your driver.
Only Tin Eye could so consistently turn class envy into class ennui.
Payroll tax, check
Sales tax, state income tax, check
Bruce is lying, natch

Why should the elderly, the infirm and the out-of-work participate in democracy?
ONE DOLLAR ONE VOTE!
TRILLIONS FOR WAR BUT NOT ONE CENT FOR SOCIALIST HEALTH CARE!!
I LOVE BIG BROTHER!!!
