That damned blessing

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama, Racism, Reverend Al Sharpton.

I had no idea this crisis had grown so acute...Mallard Fillmore truly has his finger on the pulse of...well, some sort of America that exists only in his own mind.

That damned panty raid

What's Mallard raving about today?

Feminists, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton

OK, I think this has devolved as far as it possibly can. Therefore I am anxiously looking forward to Monday to see how Mallard proves me wrong.

That damned cheer

What's Mallard raving about today?

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson.

Incredible hypocrisy from a duck whose primary mode of discourse is to posit that "some people say [incendiary-but-not-credible-thing]" and then mock the made up position.

In other words: The straw pot calling the straw kettle black...so to speak.

Note: I'd take cheer from the fact that Mallard appears convinced that Obama is going to win the election if it weren't for the fact that the next time he is right about something it will be the first time.

That damned Aging Feminist

What's Mallard raving about today?

Racism, Feminists, Barack Obama, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Sarah Palin.

Since Mallard is pretty much taking the day off, so will I.

Just combine my comments from this day and this day and you have my comment for today.

That damned livlihood

What's Mallard raving about today?

Barack Obama, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Racism.

The cynicism of this calculus is astonishing: Some white people will vote for Obama; ergo racism no longer exists in America.

Mind you, coming from Mallard (whose stock in trade is arguing against "some people who say that we should [insert credibility-defying statement here]") it's not all that surprising.

And while I will admit to being proud that my generation may be the first to put a non-white man in the White House, the idea that racism no longer exists?

That may be a tad optimistic.

That damned Reverend Jackson

What's Mallard raving about today?

Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Racism.

Case closed. Give Don Imus his show back.

That damned...oh who cares anymore?

What's Mallard raving about today?

Need you ask, really?

Allow me to trace the evolution of this series:

Step 1: Draw a moral equivalency between Al Sharpton and Don Imus, as if that would excuse Don Imus.

Step 2: Stop talking about Don Imus and focus exclusively on charging Al Sharpton with being racist.

Step 3: Mock Al Sharpton for low ratings on his radio show (at which point Mallard's completely lost the plot).

Step 4: Bring Don Imus back into the series with the notion of a wacky Odd Couple-esque Ebony and Ivory radio show.

I shudder to think where we're headed next...

Those damned hamsters

What's Mallard raving about today?

Reverend Al Sharpton, radio-listening hamsters.

Blah, blah, blah, Al Sharpton, blah, blah, racism , blah, blah, blah.

There. I put as much effort into this post as Mallard put into today's panel.

Those damned body parts

What's Mallard raving about today?

Reverend Al Sharpton, Racism.

As if the substance of today's panel were not ridiculous enough, the reader is forced to ask what conclusions can be drawn from the fact that the first bit of dialog is uttered by Rev. Sharpton's right foot, the second by his left hand, and the final thought balloon emanates from his ass.

That damned Journalism School

What's Mallard raving about today?

Reverend Al Sharpton, Journalism school.

Mallard apparently wants to play the moral relativism game in defense of Don Imus and is using as ammunition incidents from 1987 and 1991 involving Reverend Al Sharpton.

Shall we examine the statements of Rush Limbaugh since 1991 for any hint of racism? I wonder if we can find more than two incidents in that time?

How about Bill O'Reilly? Ann Coulter? Glenn Beck? Michael Savage?

That damned arbitraryness

What's Mallard raving about today?

Reverend Al Sharpton.

Congratulations to Mallard!

After just 3 panels on the subject of Don Imus, Mallard has managed to drop all pretense and finally focus entirely on what this story is really about: Al Sharpton.

It's only the liberal bias of the Mainstream Media that caused them to be distracted by the man who called a group of college athletes "nappy headed ho's" instead of focusing on Reverend Sharpton.

That damned apology

What's Mallard raving about today?

Don Imus, the Reverend Al Sharpton, apologies.

Since Mallard's just recycling Monday's joke, you can refer to my comment from Monday.

That damned Imus

What's Mallard raving about today?

Don Imus, the Reverend Al Sharpton.

Mallard has a point.

Though that does not explain what caused Don Imus'cowboy hat to shrink.

That damned Reverend Sharpton

What's Mallard raving about today?

Don Imus, the Reverend Al Sharpton, Bigotry.

Ahhh, moral equivalency. The last sanctuary of the truly defenseless.

Still, Mallard is off-message. Didn't he get the memo that the comparison he was supposed to be making was to Rap singers?
