Whenever Tinsley is trying to bore us to death instead of trolling us, I always try out a new strip.
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal isn't new to me, but it's been so good the past couple of days, I have to plug it rather than simply repeat myself yet again about how much Tinsley sucks.
(Tip: Hover your cursor over the red button under the strip for Bonus Panel!)
Well, at least Tinsley didn't fall into the standard trap of using an amusing example of an auto-corrected text in creating his joke. That's been so done to death! What he offers is simply a reference to the concept which we infer somehow played a role in whatever strife exists between these two generic characters. Brilliant! Original!
@Tog's right. When Tinshley is trying to be nonpolitically nonfunny, his competition changes from the merely weak Prickly City to the universe of actually funny and insightful comix, of which thousands are always better, such as the delightful Questionable Content.
For once, Brewski seems to be including real factual material. Assuming this is based on some real world incident of his, I have absolutely no problem in believing that auto-correct has more personality than he does.
Hey! It looks like you're trying to be a cartoonist!
Do you want to: • Parrot ALEC talking points • Spread hatred of brown people or teachers • Bitch about pop culture • Just repeat yesterday's comic • Drink until unconscious
So, does this mean he was talking like an auto-correct feature or that the auto-correct feature on his phone was talking and she mistook it for him talking? And more importantly, why should anyone give a crap?

...okay.
Incomprehensible but not especially loathsome.
For Mallard, that qualifies as a win!

CW, you forgot the best part. There's no Crypt Keeper staring out at us with that medicine-bottle face.
Why are they drinking motor oil?
Why are they drinking motor oil?
They're drinking motor oil because Real Americans find creative ways to consume more and more oil in order to make Al Gore sad.
I mean, duh.

"... but it was just your auto-correct talking."

Tin Eye is opposed to auto-correct on principle. If it existed in meatspace, he'd have winked out of existence early on.
Say, Is this Mallard's latest Bold New Direction?
I mean, she didn't tell the dude it was his butt-dial talking this time.
