Much better to study journalism and spend your life drawing poorly and not making jokes (or sense).

"Flash mob" is one of the current wrong-wing dogwhistles for the fictional Scary Black Crimewave that's sweeping America, with all the FBI crime statistics to the contrary being just one more piece of the conspiracy puzzle! So it's absolutely no surprise that Bruce "Racism is dead!" Batshit Tinsley is wanking it here.
Mallard has apparently given up his smug smirk of ignorant self-righteousness (at least for the moment) in favor of sitting quietly and letting Batshit's strawmen make fools of themselves.
If Batshit's political philosophy were a ship, that would amount to moving a chair three feet along the deck...after the ship struck an iceberg and sank decades ago.
It's funny because kids today are throwing away their time and money on degrees in things like Sociopathy or Sociology, I'm not sure which, instead of majoring in useful and futureproof subjects like Journalism and Duck Scrawling.
Sociopathy, Sociology... all those "Soci-" words are collectivist commie talk. Go learn what the courses are called at your values-loving Christian colleges — probably words that start with "Ameri-" or "Christ-" and those are the degrees that translate into real money when you're out in the world. Just follow the wingnut welfare backwards.
Flash mobs? Aww, look -- Brucie's trying to be all hep and modern-like. And he's succeeding just about as well as he did in analyzing the European economy.
What I'm wondering now is whether he'll try to do a caricature of James Hoffa or just scribble a generic Union Thug™ when he inevitably shits out a week of strips about Union Thuggery™ based on the false right-wing narrative (oh, sorry -- that's redundant, isn't it?) that Hoffa was calling for political assassinations.

But couldn't a sociologist have a lot of fun looking at flash mobs and their meaning and other academic things?
It sounds like something a thesis!
Or is the joke that sociology is useless and "I've heard flash mob on the news"?

BUT! If you were to carefully peel off the skin of an orange, and wrap it around the apple, it almost works!
Mallard's dating again?
Thank goodness Chantelle escaped. May she find a home in a comic with some sort of continuity, punchlines and relevance.
