That damned Memory

What's Mallard raving about today?

Herman Cain, Justice Thomas

And do you also remember where you were when Joe Paterno's character was assassinated?

Because this line of argument is exactly the same as that would be.

Which is to say that you're a vicious partisan asshole.

No surprise here. I remember how concerned Batshit was about "character assassination" when a sex scandal involved Bill Clinton or Ted Kennedy or any other Democrat.

It's going to be a fun couple of weeks as Batshit switches from "racism doesn't exist!" to "you're all racist!," before he realizes Cain's finished.

Shit, even Mike Tyson is whaling on him.

As for Pedo-Protector Paterno: I wonder how many people who like to pretend OWS is nothing but violent, property-destroying anarchists silently looked the other way during the riot by the sports-uber-alles sociopaths?

Yes, the Democrats are TOTALLY assassinating Herman Cain's character in the GOP primaries.

If this was even a political stunt, it makes no sense at this point in time as the bigger impact would have been in the actual presidential race.

Unless the GOP was racist and didn't want a black guy representing them.

Ha ha! Tinsley thinks "assassinating" is a fancy word for "revealing"!

Why is Mallard Fillmore attacking the Perry campagin?

I understand that originally several women came forward concerning Clarence Thomas' conduct towards them. The Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee, in the sort of compromise we all associate with Democrats, agreed to hear the testimony of one of them only, Anita Hill. This of course made it much easier to frame the whole matter in terms of he said/she said.

Cain, of course, doesn't have that luxury. On the other hand, Thomas didn't have the Fox Manure-Spewing Machine to spew all over his accusers.

In any case, it's pretty funny in an unintentional way coming from a man and his cartoon duck who between them have no character to assassinate. Plop.

So even black Republicans who grew up poor (like Thomas) need to be lectured to by white millionaire liberals? Riiighht.

^^^Dumb on an impressive variety of levels.

When a Republican is accused of improper conduct, it's character assassination; when a Democrat is accused of improper conduct, he/she should resign immediately, because the accusation itself is sufficient proof of... whatever.

Careful you don't get dizzy from all that spinning, Mallard.

If your character involves leveraging your position of power to obtain sex then it deserves to be assassinated.

One other point that just occurred to me: The "character assassination" directed at Clarence Thomas didn't prevent him from becoming a Supreme Court justice, did it?

Also, doesn't the right-wing media "assassinate" Anita Hill's character to this day?

Not to mention that by all accounts Clarence Thomas has been the most useless Supreme Court justice ever. He hasn't asked a question from the bench in five years!

Do you remember where you were when you assassinated the character of Kerry, Obama, etc. etc.? Or was that just your objective reporting of how the President hates white people?

Actually, It was Anita Hill's character that was assassinated. Thomas got a lifetime gig courtesy of the Democratic controlled congress of 1991. In which he personally profits by several of his decisions.
