That damned Costume

What's Mallard raving about today?

Joe Biden

Yeah, yeah, Mallard doesn't like Joe Biden...yawn.

In other news, Mallard remembered to do a strip for Hallowe'en, but not for 9-11.

The natural question one would ask upon reading the first paragraph would be, "What you'll need for what?"

It's not until the last panel that the reader understands that the strip is specifically about Halloween costumes and trick-or-treating.

Which means Bruce forgot to set up his "joke" at the beginning of the strip.

Way to earn your paycheck there, guy.

Muss up your hair, put on a stinky wrinkled shirt, go door to door wheezing with beer breath about how you want your unrequited love Sarah Palin to be one heart attack from the presidency, and ask people WHO AM I?!

No one will be able to guess.
Even after you tell them who.

Jesus.
This idiot feels the need to spell out that you'll need underwear and socks, but doesn't mention shoes?

Still not as scary as dressing up as W and saying "I was elected. TWICE." Bruce.
Or dress up as Trump, who was very nearly the Republican nominee for 2012. (in a loose sense)
But yeah, no, keep flogging the Biden thing. It's a can't-fail strategery!

Biden's the GOP's worst nightmare. He talks back.

Ya know what's scary?

Mitt got over $100 million in TARP funds by holding Delphi auto parts hostage, then used the money to buy Chinese manufacturers and move most of the jobs to China.
AND in doing so, he killed the workers' pensions.
AND he blames Obama for it!

But that's not the scariest part ...
...the scary part is that as president, he could do the same thing over and over, and no-one could stop him ... because he'll control the Justice Department.

But that's not the scary part!

The scary part is that there are any white working men and retirees voting for Mitt because they like his jobs policy.

I had no idea so many people are suicidal.

I don't think they like Willard's job policy so much. It's more that they like his being white policy so much that they've convinced themselves the other stuff isn't so bad

@CW in LA makes a good point.

Some people don't mind being shat on, so long as they can sh1t on someone else.

David Brin (the scientist, SF writer and Libertarian) has another theory. He suggests that loud expressions of indignation can be addictive - it gives you a high similar to drugs. Facts don't matter; addicts need a higher high and will get angry over nothing. That explains a whole lotta Fox news!

Not nearly as scary as Palin, Ryan, or even Mitt being President.
