What's Mallard raving about today?

Americans, Personal responsibility.

But, of course, 47% of Americans, according to Mitt Romney, are not worth worrying about because he'll "never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

Hey, Poors! It's all your fault that you're poor! Why don't you just STOP being poor? Because you LIKE it, THAT'S WHY.

Oh, my, goodness no, Davey: Lord Mittens has flipped on that flop. After all, it has served its purpose and can be discarded and forgotten like some factory worker who is lazy and overpaid.

Can't wait for the next few weeks: Mallard will be shrieking that Obama (suddenly) decided to use his evil power to bugger the employment figures to make himself look good...but then raised gas prices to...uh...fart fart quack quack!

Many Americans do indeed still believe in the old-fashioned notion of personal responsibility. American conservatives like Mallard/Brucie, however, are not among them -- as evidenced by their perennial whinging that whatever is wrong with their lives, whether it's real or imagined, is the fault of Democrats/liberals/foreigners/minorities/hippies/fill in the blank... anybody and everybody but themselves. And not only that, but it's those others who are the ones constantly assigning blame, refusing to take personal responsibility, looking for handouts, etc.

This is the part where you inform me that you're rubber and I'm glue, Mallard.

DiR: He doesn't understand perspective, either.

Which is only fitting, now that I think about it.

Why, it's the exact same joke as the "Kids feel entitled/I deserve that" strip from a couple of weeks back. As someone who actually works for a living, I refuse to be lectured on "responsibility" from some hack who lives on an allowance.

And, right on time (3 weeks late0 Mallard jumps on the bandwagon- not realizing that no one else was going to stay on it for long (except maybe Rush and Bill O'Reilly- so I guess the duck's wet dreams will come true!

I think I threw up in my mouth a little.

How many strips do you think this will last? As long as the tirade against shoes?

Did Mallard just endorse Obamacare/Romneycare?

The key feature of both is to penalized freeloaders: people who can afford health insurance but don't take personal responsibility for getting it.

Welcome, brother Mallard, to the ranks of Obamacare supporters!
