What's Mallard raving about this Week?

Only 4 days early. Or are there places that only carry his Sunday strip? Oh, what fortunate places those must be!

And, yes, of course Ben Franklin would think the IRS is worse than the British.Because the IRS is fulfilling an actual function of an American government, and was formed by duly-elected representatives, and is carrying out the laws and regulations passed by the American people's representatives, while the British merely did none of those things.

Of course, the British never audited Brucie's taxes, probably because he claimed his cable bill as a deduction ("well, how am I suppose to stay informed and do my job if I can't watch Fox news? And I have to pay for the adult channels, too, just in case something happens during "asian boy-slut carnival" that's newsworthy!")

Yep -- jury selection in the George Zimmerman trial began exactly three weeks ago. You're nothing if not predictable, Bruce.

Oh, by the way: Which side's protestors do YOU think will be more violent, Bruce? I don't think any of us know how you really feel about it, what with you totally not being a racist murder apologist and all.

I wonder if this case would have attracted the attention it has if St. Skittles was a white boy.

But than Obama would not have said "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon." We of course know which side will be more violent.

Anonymouth, if "St. Skittles" had been a white boy, Killerman wouldn't have piled out of his car to hassle him in the first place.

TUDESDAY

I suppose you might have a point, Mallard...if the Patriots were applying for tax-exempt status...and were a group trying to influence an election...in violation of the status for which they were applying.

But they're not, so you don't.

(Side note: Yesterday at Comics Kingdom, the right-wing commenters went hog wild with predictions of race war and claims of "many" instances of attacks on whites by blacks "often" shouting "this is for Trayvon." I challenged them for anything to back that claim up; instead, they simply repeated the claim and flagged my comments until they were removed because they're such brave champions of free speech.

...I mean, such spineless cowards.)

Yes, Mallard/Bruce -- and I'm sure Mr. Tebow, like Sarah Palin before him, would be quite tickled by your schoolboy-level effort to curry favor by playing the Poor Little Victim card on his behalf... if he actually knew or cared who you were.

WENTSDAY

Apparently Tinsley, grand master of mocking journalism, doesn't understand the difference between an "interview" and a "trivia quiz," as he again sets out to insult American as morons.

(Yet somehow I doubt he includes the real ones I like to point and laugh at because they're "enraged by Benghazi" but can't be bothered to learn anything about it, or the incident that took place there, because it's overseas).

It's extra funny because the artist himself, despite being a self-anointed flag-wrapped uber-patriot, completely forgets Veterans' Day and/or Memorial Day every couple of years or so.

Be careful knocking down that poorly-constructed straw man, Mallard -- those things have splinters and stuff.

This seems like an opportune moment to remind everyone that Mallard/Bruce forgot the anniversary of 9/11 last year. Ah, Patriotism!

Huh. Let me think...today's July 3rd, so tomorrow's...August? Math is hard!

There must be some significance to that date! "4 Day Weekend"? I work tomorrow, and Friday, and Saturday, so it's not that...It only comes once a year...

OH! There's no mail! So Bruce can whine about the post office when his Moonie welfare check comes a day late! Right?

Oh, DUH! (slaps forehead) July Fourth is also the Fourth of July!! When every American gets a day off--except those who have to work for more than 5 minutes in a row, which is a concept alien to Bruce--and have BBQs and go to the fireworks! I suppose Bruce doesn't do that. He puts on his powdered wig and leggings and LARPs the signing of the Declaration. Then he waters the Tree of Liberty by drinking so much Pabst that--well, okay, the "Tree of Liberty" is a neighbor's shrub at 2AM, while screaming about the Kenyans.

Americans don't need a 4 day weekend! They need a lecture from a guy who hasn't worked for a living in FIFTEEN YEARS.

Hey, Bruce, remember that you're not a REAL man unless you hold that M80 until just before it explodes! Even more macho if you keep it in your mouth!

While there's the semblance of a joke there ("hah! Apple is popular!") the lazy artwork spoils the "comic". Does King Features really "pay" for this?

One way or another, King Features probably gets paid for Mallard by the Wingnut Welfare Machine, like Regnery books authors. I suspect someone out there pays cable systems to carry Fox News and put it in all the waiting rooms at car dealerships.

Come on, Mallard -- we know you're just pissed because you release a new product every day (well, a slight variation on the same product, anyway) and you don't get any media attention.

Fuck You, Tinsley said...

Today's comic combines two of Tinsley's most hated things: Technology and the overthrow of dictatorships. He was too lazy to think of ways to throw in foreigners, peaceful guys, Yankees, atheists, non-Christians and the childless.

SATURDAY

Another generic "isn't he awful?" cartoon with no hint of content. The regulars at Comics Kingdom are nominating it for a Pulitzer as I write this, because it's so hard-hitting and on-topic.

Fuck You, Tinsley said...

Glad to see Tinsley literally demonizing anyone foreign once again. I really appreciate his cultural sensitivity and warmth.

Frank Stone said...

If only you could have put that "buck" sign on Obama like you wanted, huh, Bruce? Reagan's Ghost might have even given you a pat on the head.

(Yeah, yeah, I know what you "meant", Bruce: "The buck stops here". And, of course, you did a strip with the same gag when George "I can't think of any mistakes I've made" Bush was president, right? Right...?)
