What's Mallard raving about today?
China.
Personally, I think that logo on the dog food bag would be grounds for a claim of caveat emptor. I mean, If I were to buy that dog food, and my dog did not die, I would feel cheated.
That said, the stink line is overdoing it a bit, don't you think?

Say, Mallard--if the Chinese are so evil, why is the US doing so much business with 'em? Profit, you say? My, you're getting Liberal in your old age...
I wonder what Tinsley's reaction would be if Michael Moore made a movie about US/China business relations, making the same damn point...would it be the usual foaming at the mouth with fat jokes while pretending to be smugly above the fray? Or would his head simply pop like an irritated zit?
I like this blog a lot. But I have a question/suggestion-- would it be possible to post each day's comic here, rather than the link to it? That way this horrible, horrible comic would get fewer click-throughs. The more people who view the comic by clicking to it, the more "popular" it will seem to the papers that run it.
Maybe it's easier to just post the link, or maybe you'd get in trouble for posting the comic without a link, I don't know.
All I know is that I am in favor of fewer web hits on Mallard Fillmore, if at all possible.

I agree, but...
On my other comics blog (Blather 'Bout Burl) the comics artist (I use that term very loosely) threatened me with legal action when I was posting the comics on the page.
Given that Bruce Tinsley is a raving curmudgeon, I did not want to invite disaster over here.
BillyWitchDoctor makes good points. If you take Turdsley's logic to the next step, you might expect to see him out picketing against Wal-Mart.
I won't hold my breath. Tomorrow we find out how this is all the liberals' fault.
The other day our local paper ran a letter to the editor that claimed that the poisonous products were deliberately done by China as some sort of way to show us that they dominate our market and that they will crush us unless we buy American.
So, I guess I'm saying today's Mallard could be crazier.
I think Tinsley is far too lazy and/or intoxicated to actually sue you. How does Josh Fruhlinger get away with it??
I'm use the images from Pluggers, with a disclaimer at the bottom, saying they belong to the creator, not me, and just general ass covering. I couldn't find any other e-mail address than the one in every comic, and I don't really want to talk to him, so I'll do it until I'm told to stop.
I know why Tinshley bitches about China - it's considered "communist", and left wing dictators are always worse than right-wing ones. Pinochet, anyone?
Does Tinsley include Taiwan, Taipei, and Hong Kong as China?
