Those damned people

What's Mallard raving about today?

Trite overused phrases, secret Egyptian prisons.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. They sent them to Egypt to be tortured. Damn that's funny!

No, wait a minute. What's the opposite of funny?

Oh, that's right: absolutely horrifying.

Why don't they send people who make blatantly obvious statements to foreign prisons?

And of course Mallard will fight to the death his freedom to say "Ya Think"

I can't really blame him for this one. Tinsley must hear that a thousand times a day, pretty much after every thing he says.

I think Mallard's problem is that he always answers the question by saying "No"

I remember an article about the prisons - usually there are letters printed in support of whatever horrifying thing Bush has done this time, but not after this.

One guy was held for months and beaten until the CIA (or people working for them) discovered that he merely looked like the guy they were after.

Ugh.

How can he joke about this? He must believe they don't exist, or if they do, they don't really matter and are completely legal.

And I thought most were farther south than Egypt - closer to the Persian Gulf than the Mediterranean.
