That damned Story

What's Mallard raving about today?

Unions, Protesters, The Media.

Give mallard credit, after being chastised on this very blog for using non-citations with his asterisks, he managed to find a citation source even less believable than just telling the user to look things up for themselves: the Media Research Center.

I won't link to MRC, but suffice it to say that if you "look it up for yourself" you'll find two articles on the MRC website which are absolutely laughable in their lack of actual evidence for their claims.

In one, for example, they decry the use of "Dead Man Walker" as violent imagery, conveniently ignoring the actual meaning of the phrase Dead Man Walking.

Tinsley, dude, you amply demonstrated that you didn't even remotely give a shit about the people who were actually killed in Arizona--and now we're supposed to believe that you care about violent rhetoric? SRSLY? It is to laugh.

TalkingPointsMemo: Kansas State Rep. Virgil Peck (R) suggested Monday that the best way to deal with the illegal immigration problem may be the same way the state might deal with the problem of "feral hogs" -- by shooting them from a helicopter.

The state's House Appropriations Committee was debating financing for controlling the feral swine problem, the Lawrence Journal World reports, when one legislator suggested the problem could be handled by shooting them from helicopters. Peck offered: "It looks like to me if shooting these immigrating feral hogs works maybe we have found a [solution] to our illegal immigration problem."

Also from Talking Points Memo: A Republican in the New Hampshire House of Representatives regrets telling one of his constituents that the mentally challenged and other "defective" people should be sent to Siberia so they don't stand to inherit control of the world.

"The world population has gotten too big and the world is being inherited by too many defective people," Rep. Martin Harty told one of his constituents. "I mean all the defective people, the drug addicts, mentally ill, the retarded -- all of them."

Asked what should be done with those people, Harty said, "I believe if we had a Siberia we should send them to this and they would all freeze and die and we will be rid of them."

Your serve, Tinsley.

The MRC is Tinsley go-to source for media analysis. That speaks volumes.

The corporate media sucks. Labor and working people's voices are absent.

Nice try Drunkard, but the "OMG, a Fox News reporter was HIT by a protester" story has been completely debunked.

This is a link

Of course you didn't have to click the link to know it was a Faux News "reporter".

Swing and a miss again Dullard. (Not that it will matter to the average low information Faux viewer)

Holy Mother of God, a protester actually touched somebody on the shoulder. Now we see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help, he's bein' repressed!

"He wants to shut down the communication." Actually, when someone wants to shut down communication, they don't just flick their hand over the lens for a second. They knock you down, they bust the camera, they actually rough you up. Like your own goons have done.

The incontrovertible epidemic of obesity in the United States will kill hundreds of thousands of people prematurely.

But you're right, a TV personality getting nudged in a crowd is a much more important story.

Fortunately Mallard, slumped endlessly in front of the TV, refusing to move more than absolutely necessary to shovel nondescript processed snacks from their box into his bill, remains impervious to the dirty hippies' warnings about obesiAAACK MY HEART

Anyway, keep fattening yourself up, duck. The foie gras will be delectable.

I would never in my life dare to eat foie gras de Fillmore.

The liver is a place where toxins collect, and Mallard is so chocked with bilious poisons that a bite would surely be enough to put me in the hospital.

I urge Mallard to keep attacking Wisconsin teachers, librarians and cops. Oh those kindergarten teachers - such thugs!!!

A year from now, I don't think Mallard Fillmore is going to be printed in any Midwestern newspapers. Let the market decide!

Yes, Brucie, we get it: You believe that your readers are even more lazy and gullible than you are. The saddest part is that you're largely correct.

And, as usual, there's more truth (not to mention humor) in today's "Doonesbury" than in a year of "Mallard Fillmore" strips.

Heh heh heh.

Send today's hilarious strip to Lara Logan.
