Sounds like someone's jealous that some people have real degrees and he doesn't. So he's got to put down people who actually do work to get educated. How utterly babyish.
It seems Bruce isn't a fan of education in general, really. I guess the ignorant are the ones paying his wages, so you can see where he's coming from on that.
So, ever-lowering University standards and grade inflation have led to what? Isn't the US still a leader in those things (engineering, medicine, science, etc.) for which an education really counts? Are lots of college graduates failing on the job because their education was subpar?
And why does he bother with that asterisk if he isn't going to make the reference legible?

Universities are a tool, they are not a guarentee.
Something many college students learn to their detriment.
And something others who see those who graduate with inflated grades don't see. The student played the game to get the least.
And that same lazy atittude will get them nowhere in life, either.
But it doesn't mean those tools to get ahead in life didn't exist.
