Ladies and Gentleman, the Republican Party in a nutshell: Less mature than a six year old on a playground.

Why the sudden obsession with someone successful like Letterman? And the name calling no less? Not to mention Letterman likes to make fun of himself to boot so he doesn't even have half the ego some neocon personalities show.
I thought jealous name-calling was the mark of a liberal.
I really want Letterman to respond to these strips on his show. For one thing, it would actually be funny and clever instead of rage-driven and spiteful.
Tinsley's got to start doing some research. It's pretty bad when I can do a quick Google search and find evidence to the contrary.
Obama JokesSecondly, one of the reasons late night host do have some trouble making jokes about Obama is that he hasn't done much joke worthy. Like David Letterman's second quote on the second page says.
"How about President Barack Obama's first primetime press conference last night? He was cogent, eloquent, and in complete command of the issues. I'm thinking to myself, what the hell am I supposed to do with that?" --David Letterman
Finally I have the felling Tinsley is just complaining about shows he doesn't watch.
Periodically I think Tinsley tries to pick a fight with a major media figure so as to get much more exposure than his strip would ever get on its own dubious merits.
For example, I'm pretty sure that's part of why he ran a week of strips making increasingly hysterical accusations against Jon Stewart after "America: The Book" took a swipe at his humorlessness. (Of course, the fact that Tinsley really is humorless and thin-skinned also went into it).
Anyway, I was a tiny bit disappointed that Stewart didn't take the bait simply because the carnage would have been hilarious. But it is after all attention Tinsley is after, so denying him that was probably the best response.
But I'll be interested to see what Letterman does; certainly cheesing him off didn't do John McCain any good.
I'm with CW in LA on this one. Tinshley really, really does not want Letterman to actually know about and respond to this.
Along with McCain, Bill O'Lielly could also tell Brucie what a bad idea that is. Furthermore, once Letterman thinks he has an issue with someone (particularly if he feels he has been dissed), he will never, ever let it go. Ask McCain.
One of my favorite TV lines of all time --
Letterman, in response to BO going on and on about the "War on Xmas":
"I have a feeling that about 60% of what you say is crap."Of course, I would actually LOVE to see Tinkley on Letterman. The word "eviscerate" is the first one that comes to mind.

If Letterman did comment on Tinsley, I hope he uses the DUI mugshot:

Shorter Tinsley: "Waaaaaaaah!"
WV: atoid - what the boid left on my cah.
Just because Bruce Tinsley blacks out every night before Letterman's monologue starts doesn't mean that Letterman never makes jokes about Obama.
(word veri: "dederi". Former Presidents Of The United States guitbassist Dave Dederi bears a striking resemblance to Letterman.)

Today's "comic" is the drunk at a bar railing at the TV:
"Hey, evvvryboody, I called Dabid Liebermun a weenie, an' he couldnat thinka anythun to say back hunh-hunh-hunh!"'Cuz if Lettermen DID reply, it'd be
"Hey, evvvryboody, I got menshuned on tha Lieber ... Lebber ... Lednterman schow hunh-hunh-hunh!"Meanwhile, at Letterman HQ:
STAFFER: "Sir, you were mentioned in the 489th most popular cartoon in America!"LETTERMAN: "They're still printing 'Nancy'? "
The top reason Blallard makes straw arguments almost every day of the week.
He is as big a reichfluegel weenie as Rush, Sean, Ann and Newt.
Rewinn: Loved your imagined Letterman/staffer conversation!

Tinsley on Letterman would make Joaquin Phoenix's interview look articulate and witty.
