That damned Vacation

What's Mallard raving about today?

New month, same old Mallard, I assume.

"Oh, no. What did North Carolina do to offend the Democraps, now?"

Ha ha ha! Tinsley's incoherence is confusing his own dittoheads! (Not a huge challenge, that. They're conditioned to bark loudly when they hear their master's dog whistle, but otherwise they're dumb as rocks.)

Meanwhile, Rmoney's own party is openly and vocally critical of the Tinsley-grade arrogance and tone-deafness on display in Mitten's The Great Man Who Would Rule You Miserable Peasants World Tour.

But I won't get my hopes up for a strip about THAT from Fair-n-Balanced Brucie in three weeks. He's no doubt been busy on a slew of ZOMG JOE BIDEN SED SUMPIN STOOPIT FOUR YEERZ AGOU strips.

FUN FACT #1: Bill Clinton's being given a major role at his party's upcoming convention.

FUN FACT #2: George W. Bush isn't.

"More Democratic No-Shows" is a terrible name for a periodical.

Anyway, I have no idea what alleged story was bouncing around the echo chamber several weeks ago, so I looked it up, and found this:

This talking point is almost five weeks stale by now! Could this be a new record?

Take a drink, everyone!

Dick Cheney won't be attending the GOP convention because he's less popular than herpes.

Sarah Palin won't be attending the GOP convention because she wasn't invited to speak and couldn't get a delegate's ticket. Wow, that's gotta sting!

bin Ladn won't be attending because he's dead.

Jeez, Bill! If I have one more drink this morning, I'll probably start drawing Mallard Fillmore myself!

Meanwhile, "in other news" (as we say) Romney is such a timid soul that his only remaining challenger, Ron Paul, isn't going to be allowed to speak at the GOP snore-fest. Mustn't have any unpatriotic questioning of torture, endless war, and Israel worship.

And I'm sure any day now we'll be seeing Mallard's snarky report on all the Republicans who are bailing on this year's Republican convention, right?

I'm surprised Tinsley doesn't have a backup strip to go to when the syndicate realizes how tone deaf and ridiculous the submitted "comic" is.

Yo Steve-O, in the spirit of Willard Rmoney's Amercia, I'll bet you $10,000 this IS the back-up strip.

So, uh, is there any reason to think that Obama won't be the Democratic Pres nominee? Why would the convention be a big deal? formality aside, there's no need to go.
Also, I recall NC doing something really douchey recently, I can't remember what, though.
