Dear God, I found today's panel understated, charming, and mildly humorous. What's more, the artwork contributes positively to the overall effect.

Or Red State -- that's one of my favorites. Someday he'll have an asterisk that points to "The internet" or "A book."
I honestly thought it was a self-referential joke before I read the last panel. Of course it snows asterisks in Tinsley-land. It explains the need to manufacture barely coherent footnotes... if he didn't he'd be overrun with asterisks falling from the sky.

He did suggest that "Google dog-eating" was a source. (It didn't help much.)
