That damned Convention

What's Mallard raving about today?

Barack Obama, The Media.

Empty-headed and wrong. Pretty much the definition of Mallard Fillmore.
Barack Obama is getting more negative coverage than John McCain on TV network evening news shows, reversing Obama’s lead in good press during the primaries, according to a new study by Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA).

Why would the DNC issue press credentials to a duck? It makes no sense.
"Please DNC, give us a press pass...for who? Oh, he's a duck who wears a sportcoat but no pants...wait! WAIT! I'm not kidding!"

I hate Tinsley, but especially on Mondays.

What's exciting about this, is that Tinz is doing this without the safety net of his 2 week lag. Meaning he drew up the entire Dem convention series 2 weeks ago attempting to predict how it goes. There could be some hilarious contradictions to reality coming up...

Of course hilarious contradictions to reality is the name of his game.

You know, though, if only Tinsley could have left out the "in fact" in the last speech bubble, this could have been smile-worthy, maybe even chuckle-worthy (though still done to death and wrongheaded).

The dude can't get it right even when he has a half-decent idea.

It COULD be exciting, but more likely a) it'll only go a few days before his deranged mind flips over to something else; and b) it'll be so hopelessly vague that you won't actually be able to pin him down on anything.

Good work geox! Your proposed edit would have made the strip funny (although still, as you say, wrongheaded).

Is Tinsley deliberately spoiling his own jokes, to emphasize that he's merely producing Soviet-style "art" ... printed because of its adherence to Party Line rather than merit?

In a world in which Katie Couric unashamedly edits McCain's maunderings into some semblance of coherency ...

... can anyone honestly say that the corporate media is favorable to Obama?

Damn media.

Too bad raving right-wing lunatics don't get to be in the paper every day drawing crappy pictures of ducks to go along with lying, unfunny attacks on liberals. Because then those lunatics would be part of the media, since they were published in the mainstream papers every day. And obviously "the media" is all biased towards liberals, just turn on the TV and you'll hear all the complaints about that.
