That damned School

What's Mallard raving about today?

Being Green, School.

Today's Mallard reminded me how much was lost when Bill Watterson retired. I can't help but imagine what Calvin & Hobbes would have done with the exact same premise.

The Calvin and Hobbes reference is right on, except the imaginary friend/stuffed animal is the human, not the animal.

Poor ducky! So lonely, and he has only straw men to play wih!

Interesting. The character who will be most affected by global warming is the only one who will admit it exists.

This... actually isn't that bad of a cartoon. I'm confused, and don't know how to react.

Enjoy your Sunday, people.

Eh, you know that he came up with the punchline first; probably while entertaining his friends and family with his witty rejoinders and bon mots ...

But the punchline is actually...good.

I'm as confused as Michael.

If this was done in Calvin and Hobbes it would have been funny, I will say however that I did find this strip almost humorous probably because it lacked actual wingnut stupidity.
