That damned Vacation

What's Mallard raving about today?

I still don't care.

Despite the baggers, we've only fallen to 26th. How low can we go?

Oops, 27th. There goes my math (actually, in this case, remembering the shit I just read).

Oh, so now Dickhead Duck thinks we should do something about public education besides rape it and rob it? How very socialist of him! I thought vouchers were going to save American education! (You know, just like the Lotto!)

Will he propose any new solutions? Or will he just continue to bitch about what he thinks teachers wear?

(Rhetorical question, Tinsley! I already know the answer!)

Clearly, we should have approached these metrics the Michelle Rhee way: fire the teachers, fake the test scores to make ourselves look good, get lionized in a shitty, misleading documentary, and skip town before the truth is uncovered. Then it's wingnut welfare for life, baby!

Also, Mallard, I might lay off the waterskiing squirrel. You're a fucking duck reading the news. It's not the squirrel's fault that unlike him, your videos don't go viral; it's just that people actually want to watch him. I'm sure you're viral in other ways, though.

Yep. The obvious solution to the problem is to cut money to education, abolish the education department, and give the savings to rich people.

Conservatives who decry our educational status deserve to share the same Circle of Hell as those Hummer owners that decry the price of gasoline.

Oh the irony! It's not just Tinsley's demand that teachers work free and schools should be in unmaintained, abandoned buildings, but how can teachers teach math when they should spend all of their time teaching creationism? I should think Tinsley would be giddy that America is becoming dumb. More masses to opiate with 2000 year old lies.

EVERY ONE of those nations has some form of universal health care, so kids don't go to school sick.

ALL OF THEM except the Singapore near-dictatorship have strong teacher unions, so that the people who actually interact with the kids have a voice in how they are taught.

I salute Mallard Fillmore for making the conservative argument in favor of universal health care and strong teacher unions!

The USA does rate first in "Morons who think Fox News tells the Truth!" so there's that.

You sure you want more educated people, Bruce? The only intelligent people who read your crap are the ones who make fun of it.
