That damned Convention

What's Mallard raving about today?

NBC News

Once again, Mallard Fillmore consists of the main character simply going "tsk tsk" and assuming the reader has an idea what is going on in his addled imagination.

308I don't think NBC is the one disinterested in the Republican Convention.
Republican Conventions are a lot like the Bible. The Priest doesn't actually want you to read the bible, he wants to tell you what the Bible says.
Officials of the Republican Party and Fox News don't actually want you to watch the Convention, (Real men and ducks watch baseball) they want to tell you what happened.

NBC is a capitalist corporation. It exists to make money.

It doesn't think it can make money showing much of the convention.

This is not irrational. The cable channels are going gavel-to-gavel already, so the broadcast channels wouldn't get a big share anyway. So in the spirit of the free market, they chose to show something that customers want to watch.

Why is Mallard Fillmore demanding the communist approach?
