Some "tells" that tell you Tinsley's lying:

Mallard is saying something.
Mallard is thinking something.
Mallard is looking at the viewer.
Mallard has a footnote.
Mallard doesn't have a footnote.
A character is raising an index finger.
A character is saying something.
Tinsley's signature is on the strip.
It's a day of the week that ends in "-day."
The sun is shining somewhere in the world.

Sorry, forgot one:

Water is wet.

You can tell it takes place in Tinsleyland (as opposed to reality) because the newspaper headline ends with an ellipsis.

I see he's back to his talking point from 2 weeks ago, which was already stale when he used it the first time.

It must be nice getting paid to do nothing.

If Obama's reelected, expect this to be Tinny's next "that one thing Biden said 4 years ago" go-to quote. He will never "research" a second one. Finding one would take, like, 100 hours a week.

What I like is that the "that" people really didn't build? (Infrastructure, not their own businesses, which anyone with an IQ above ice-melting temperature understands.) Large parts of it were built by the Ryan family company, from which the nimrod Mittster chose to lose with him drew his inheritance and trust funds. The irony is so thick you need a lightsaber to cut through it.

Shouldn't be surprised. Cockheads are still pushing the "Al Gore claims he invented the Internet" bullshit, and now Orange Boner says Obama's Not Taking Personal Responsibility For The Drought.

I once predicted that the wrong-wing argument on climate change (much like their arguments about smoking, the Ozone Layer, the free market, and so on up to the Quagmires) would evolve from "Naaaaah! There's no such thing! You crazy!" to "So why didn't the liberals fight harder to convince us it was real? It's all their fault!" But I failed to anticipate the dramatic plunge in the average post-Palin-nation I.Q.

So let's take this comic on its face. In one panel, there is outrage over Obama's claim that no one built their own business. In the other panel, there are apparently massive business failures that require government intervention that Obama isn't giving.

Mallard clearly has a bad case of "I want small gubmint but want you to regulate birth control, abortion and the homosexuals"-itis.

Where did Tinsley go to school?
The Lie-ceum.

Where does he get his books?
The Lie-brary.

Why does he hide from the full moon?
He's a lie-canthrope.

When was he born?
Fib-ruary.

How long is he going to keep lying about this one?
All week, apparently.
