That damned Balance

What's Mallard raving about today?

Mitt Romney, Islam, The Media

Come again? Have I missed some sort of sustained assault on Mormonism by the Media as part of this election season? Or is this just another example of Mallard Fillmore making up reasons to play the victim?

Never mind, kind of answered my own question, there.

I'd challenge this asshat to provide even a little evidence to this effect, but I know all I'd get is an asterisk pointing to Newsmax, in the general direction of what turns out to be some Yellow Elephant pundit pooping in his Pampers over a nasty comment he came across in a forum, which he assumes to be from a liberal.

(Remember the golden rule: One "uncivil" commenter defines all liberals, but no matter how many right-wing lunatics go on a shooting spree or bomb attack, they're just bad apples and shutup shutup.)

In the real world, the GOP is the side that was constantly screeching that Romney's "not a real Christian" before realizing he was the best choice they had. (And as he continues to press his foot further and further down his gullet, I'm confident the teabaggers will be screeching far worse things about Mormons after the election.)

Tinsley thinks the press makes a big stinking deal about Mitt's Mormonism, and suggests that there's something unsavory about it. Well, it's an easy mistake to make. I often confuse the news media with Mitt's GOP primary opponents!

Every self-respecting J-school professor should kick Tinsley in the ass.

Two of the severest critics of Romney are themselves Mormons:
Harry Reid, and a guy I know over at David Brin's "Contrary Brin", who quotes the Book of Mormon's "Mosiah 4:17-23" (full text at http://scriptures.lds.org):

"17 Perhaps thou shalt say: The man has brought upon himself his misery; therefore I will stay my hand, and will not give unto him of my food, nor impart unto him of my substance that he may not suffer, for his punishments are just.

"18 But I say unto you, O man, whosoever doeth this the same hath great cause to repent; and except he repenteth. hath no interest in the kingdom of God.

"19 For behold, are we not all beggars? Do we not all depend upon... God... for all the riches which we have of every kind?

21 ...And now, if God... doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask... O then, how ye ought to impart of the substance that ye have one to another.

22 And if ye judge the man who putteth up his petition to you... and condemn him, how much more just will be your condemnation for withholding your substance, which doth not belong to you but to God...

23 I say unto you, wo be unto that man, for his substance shall perish with him; and now, I say these things unto those who are rich as pertaining to the things of this world.

With all the things that the Romney campaign exhibited in the last three weeks, his harshest critizism has come from Republican leaders and conservative op-ed pieces in newspapers like the Wall St Journal, where they are demanding an intervention. So what's Tinsley talking about?
Oh, of course! Those journalists went ahead and reported on this! Why else would they have done that except for the obvious racist hatred of all things white and Christian, while embracing Islam and all of its rules and customs. Boy, that clever Tinsley can sure smell a rat!

In other news, Bruce Tinsley humiliates himself in public once again, this time by attempting to build a straw man without any straw.

Keep f***ing that chicken, Bruce.
