That damned Time

What's Mallard raving about today?

Voters

Mallard Fillmore is a sanctimonious asshole who hates Democracy and Freedom.

I am pretty sure this is Mallard bleating impotently about why restricting voting hours is a good thing, which is why the GOP is doing it, and it is NOT about suppressing the vote of those least likely to vote for a Republican, how dare you suggest such a thing, despite the overwhelming evidence that this is, in fact, the case.

You whippersnappers with your Facebooks and your TV shows that I never-ever-ever-not-ever watch, and your ... uh, telephones ...

How's that Mallard Twitter account doing there, Tinshley?

Sure, Ducky: You sit there watching reality TV with no pants on for hours on end, but only to tell all those slobs who need a break, not a lecture, how much it sucks.

How many times has Brews been so loaded on Truth to Power he didn't make it to the voting booth, I wonder?

Funny thing ... you don't have to stand in line for hours to watch TV at home.
But you do, if you want to vote in a battleground state with a Republican governor.
See the difference?

Mallard doesn't want people to vote if they spend all day doing the things he does all day. Which means he doesn't want himself to vote.

This is the second day in a row that he's unwittingly defeated his own point. It's like he's trying to avoid a smackdown by beating himself unconscious with a mallet.

If there's one thing Il Duck hates, it's democracy for the common wretches.

His timing could only be better if the celebrity was telling him not to vote for an empty chair.

Nah, you're overthinking this.

When you were a teenager, did you ever hold yourself up as superior to your peers because of something you didn't do? Everyone else was listening to hip-hop/watching raunchy comedies/wearing designer clothing, and you felt smarter than them because you didn't?

That's what Tinsley is doing - looking down on people he'll never meet because their tastes vary from his own. He does that a lot. Of course, it's a little more sad when it's a grown man, because it's unlikely that he'll get over it.

Today's comic backs that up. Like celebrities? Then you're clearly too dumb to vote! Also, Democrats are elitists!
