That damned Initiative

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama

Hey, Mallard...Republicans took their case that President Obama was to blame for the Economy and got crushed. So, you know, no one really cares what you think about the matter, since we have data to prove that you're in the minority.

To paraphrase my live comment: "In further studies sadistic psychopaths were given the task of devising sex fantasies involving [Tinsley]. Patients were encouraged to devise the optimum sex-death of [Bruce Tinsley]."

Can Bush dig a hole so big it takes more than four years to get out? Why, yes, particularly when his accomplices in Congress and the press are still moving the shovels so fast they just look like ghostly doughnuts with soil flying out of the low end. Look at some charts and you can see that the massive debt is mostly due to programs started under Dubya — programs whose cost was deferred, ignored, and back-loaded to disguise how harmful they were going to be.

Tax cuts, the magic panacea, increase the burden on wage earners by letting a fortunate few clamp themselves onto our lifeblood and suck away any money they can shake loose. ("Ah, good old leeches! Is there nothing you can't cure?")

Hey, Brewski: Obama won, RMoney lost -- like this:

Obama 332
RMoney 206

Scoreboard, bitch.

Today's "punchline" is "you voted for me, right?" ...

... which is funny because why?

I suppose the "Mallard Fillmore" audience thinks it's funny that Obama won fair and square, and very decisively. If they had gotten their news from Fox, they would be expecting a Romney landslide so reality must be some sort of bizarre strangeness.

At least the dreadful Prickly City is trying for a humorous reexamination of the GOP collapse. It's not a hard subject to make slightly witty and moderately principled punchlines about.

I remember well the events of 2008 (and the eight prior years, when Bush began a very expensive war that was never paid for). It seems that all GOP and Fox viewers have selective amnesia. Does Fox have one of those things from "Men in Black"?

If there's any disbelief that's in need of suspension, it's the wingnuts' disbelief that Obama was elected fair and square. Twice.

Your side lost, Bruce. Again. Try taking the advice you gave to those who were dissatisfied with Bushbaby's two dubious victories and Get Over It. Or if that's too hard for you, you could always get the hell out of the country so the rest of us could at least be spared the annoying sound of you crying like a little bitch.
