That damned Term

What's Mallard raving about today?

Warranties, The Economy

Mallard Fillmore bought the extended warranty, which means he is dumber than a bag of hammers. Which we already knew, of course, but it's useful to have it independently confirmed.

BTW, Mallard, it's your precious 1% job creators screwing you over on that warranty definition.

Nothing like a little bile to wash the awful taste of civility out of your mouth, eh, Bruce?

I'd comment, but I'm too busy hating the troops! At least as it seems to people with the reading comprehension skills of olive pits.

Hehe, moron.
So this guy's car won't start. Fortunately, he's right next to a shop, so he goes in and tells them what's up. The mechanic comes out, pops the hood, tells the guy to try it again. Sure enough, won't start. The mechanic reaches in to the engine, taps a spot with his hammer a few times, then tells the guy to try again. Cars starts right up. Then the mechanic hands him a bill for $100.
"$100, are you crazy!? All you did was tap the engine with your hammer!!"
The mechanic replies, "Yeah, so that's $0.10 for wear on my hammer, and $99.90 for knowing where to tap."

If you're too dumb to back things up, Bruce, you deserve to get fleeced. I mean, enjoy the fruits of the free market economy.

I keep my stuff backed up a couple of different ways (for which I pay), and when I had a hardware problem, those commies at Apple ended up giving me a new computer. It's like taxes — you get what you pay for. Well, unless you're a newspaper that runs this strip, and then you get hit with the Stupidity Tax.

It's Obama's fault that computer repair is a rip-off!
