Those damned Holidays

What's Mallard raving about today?

Turkeys

If we pay attention to the date, Mallard just posted a comic about a Turkey being depressed, despite being alive a few days after Thanksgiving.

If we don't pay attention to the date, Mallard just posted a comic about a Turkey being depressed around Thanksgiving.

Either way we have to face the fact that he got paid, which is truly hard to fathom.

Sheesh, even for our Brewski, this is even more half-assed than usual: calling thirty-second-assed instead of the usual sixteenth-assed.

Is the turkey suffering from survivor's guilt? Mourning friends? Feeling that he escaped doom at Thanksgiving only to be facing Christmas? Whatever it is, one thing it's not is funny.

And let's see some seriously petulant hissy-fitting come Monday. Actually, didn't it take him a bizarrely long time to face the '06 election where his Rethugs lost both houses of congress, too?

I'm too distracted by his apparent belief that a turkey's feet makes up 1/4 of its body weight.

Mallard puts the "turd" in "turducken."

The turkey's depressed because his cousin Mitt wasn't elected! RIMSHOT!

Single-panel "comic" on a Sunday can be justified only if the extra size makes it extra funny.
It doesn't and it isn't.
Unless it's some sort of uber-humor - showing us how bad it can get and still be the flagship of the Conservative Comics line.

It may be that this past week has been the response to the election. But do expect him to repeat what Mitt told his doners afterwards.

Today Bizarro has a Sunday single panel that's just as late about Thanksgiving. (Sorry, link may work or not)

I'd just like to point out that Piraro puts more work into a single turkey's feathers or one plank of wood in the background than Tin-for-Brains puts in a YEAR of his drawing-like things.

Best guess? Tinsh thinks/at least thought-at-the-time that November 29 is Thanksgiving, not the 22nd.

...oh, wait, that makes no sense since he put the Black Friday panels where they belonged...

As God is his witness, Tinsley thought this turkey of a cartoon would fly.
