Those damned candidates

What's Mallard raving about today?

Fugitives, Republican Presidential Candidates.

Unfortunately, they won't put you in Witness Protection to testify against yourself in the matter of your own law-breaking, so most Republican lawmakers are not eligible.

I'm not sure what Tinshley's premise is here. Is he claiming that the evil liberal media aren't paying enough attention to the Republican candidates?

I'm pretty sure he's telling us that the Republican candidates are all either involved in illegal activity, or are closely involved with said activity. I wonder what he knows?

I like Confused's take, Tinsley is only funny when he loses focus on his own premise and inadvertently makes a different joke, usually at his own expense.

Oh by the way, has he ever done a caricature of Bush?

Count me in as another fan of Confused's take.

Another perspective - perhaps the GOP is the only one that would accept as one of their own a Mafia turncoat?

Good question, Scanman. Seriously, when's the last time Tinzhley acknowledged Bush's existence?

Come on guys - how can he possibly mention Bush, when there are more pressing issues to discuss? For example, did you know that there are liberal professors out there, exposing our kids to new ideas?!

The reason I asked about caricatures of Bush is two fold:

1. He HAS done a caricature of St. Reagan

2. The Simpsons for some reason has never had George Bush Jr. on any episode other than the time he was a cardboard cutout in the episode where Homer fights Daddy Bush. Why is that? I mean they had Bill Clinbton say he's "done"it with pigs honest to goodness pigs.

I have an idea about the Simpsons - they've done many episodes that mention the presidency and events since he was elected.

Clinton was portrayed while still on office, but I don't think Bush will be, if ever is.

Maybe it's related to September 11th and the subsequent wars, I don't know...

Yes, he has drawn Bush (with his eyes closed, natch).

If the media doesn't hype up the Republican candidates, isn't that the fault of the GOP rather than the media?

Here's a hint: be something a little more exciting than some old white fogey and quit doing the following: picking up boys, cheating on wives, and/or breaking the law. Al Gore gets attention by making a movie, and I filed him away under "boring" a long time ago.

You get the attention you create.
