That damned gift card

What's Mallard raving about today?

The Economy, Gift Cards.

Businesses are failing and it's inconveniencing Mallard! Hilarious.

On another note: Open this gift card. What does that even mean?

I think it's self evident that gift cards from places which no longer exist probably will not be honored ...

And someone must have given BT a gift card from Linen and Things. After they closed.

You see, business that close down are no longer obligated to honor pre-purchased gift cards. Get it? Isn't that funny!

It's not? Oh. Well, teachers suck! Neener neener!

As usual, the joke is completely crippled by bad writing:

Tinkley:
"This gift card is not valid if we're out of business before you can open this gift card"

Edited to be almost funny:
"This gift card valid only until we go out of business"

Tinkley next year:
"This gift card is not valid if the communist in the White House forces us to go out of business by his unconstitutional attack on all that is good and holy before you can open this gift card"

"This gift card is not valid if we're out of business before you can open this gift card"

"Future events such as these will affect you in the future"
