...whereas he doesn't give a fuck about the thousands of livelihoods destroyed by sheer indifferent corporate greed. Why? I'm pretty sure it's because he's a disgusting, worthless excuse for a human being.
And just what is Batshit's alternative to this temporary moratorium? Let BP "stay the course," finger crossed?
We've all seen BP's attitude over the past two months, and we know now that they were well aware the Deepwater Horizon was a disaster in the making. They don't give a damn beyond the hurt THEY're suffering. They didn't even pretend to give a damn about their own perished workers until it became a PR issue.
Rush advises poor kids to dumpster dive and openly mocked Katrina victims, and Batshit's okay with that. I know this concern for oil rig workers is as phony as everything else about Batshit, and I'm confident he's equally okay with the job losses that will devastate the Gulf Coast and beyond as a result of BP's catastrophe.
Still, he'll pin those on Obama, too. Standard operating procedure for the puppet.
I have to assume that the guy's blank facial expression is because he's not being a real human being, but rather a crude exoskeleton used by a brain-like alien life form from Dimension X who resides in its belly.
That also explains why the thought bubbles appear to be emanating from his midsection.
I would suggest that the affected oil workers head north to Indiana and drill into Tinshley's skull and chest, because his brain and heart appear to be bottomless wells of the vilest, darkest crude in the world.
Also, his liver can be processed into pure ethanol!
I'm that guy would be so much happier dying in a raging fire because a company took shortcuts so the shareholders in another country could profit. And it is definitely better to defend a company from a foreign country that kills American citizens and threatens the livelihoods of thousands of other hardworking Americans because conservatives are by default patriotic.
You know... Given how the oil companies tend to make BILLIONS in profits every quarter, you'd think they'd be able to cover some of those costs, while we investigate the state of their rigs to make sure that this shit doesn't happen again.
But god forbid we let something like the decimation of a massive section of land, not to mention the damage to dozens of other industries, get in the way of a multi-billion dollar international corporation making profits.
Shutting down an entire infrastructure over serious safety concerns is not unprecedented. After a series of crashes, the FAA mandated that the entire fleet of DC-10s be grounded until they could be given a major go-over, to prevent any more crashes and deaths. Did it suck for passengers and airlines? Yes. Was it the right thing to do? Yes. Is the air travel industry safer and better off for it? Yes.
And Ducky would know that, if he wasn't a partisan, hack-job, alcoholic loser.
Hey, Braindamage -- you do realize that the only reason Obama imposed that moratorium was because of BP's colossal, criminal failure (which, in addition to the spill, resulted in 11 oil workers losing their LIVES, not just their jobs), don't you? No. Of course you don't.
But hey, look on (what you would consider) the bright side: Now those unemployed oil workers can follow your idol Rush's advice and get their meals from the dollar menu at McDonald's.
Soon, Bruce'll tell us what a boon to restaurant profits BP's selfless donation of millions of barrels of oil was, now that an individual Gulf shrimp will soon cost as much as a lobster.
Or maybe not. He once downed a dozen shrimp cocktails before he realized that they weren't what the name made them sound like.
I'm sure Batshit is outraged by the fact that House Republicans blocked a measure to extend benefits to the long-term unemployed. This will surely destroy the Democrats come November.
...Right? Batshit? What's that? Let them eat cake? ...You DID say "cake," right?
What about the workers who made their livelihood on the water - fishermen, shrimpers, etc?
But that can't be pinned on Obama, so eff them.
And you poor oilman. You work a dangerous job with extremely high pay. You are isolated while you work. Since unemployment may not be extended (and you are a good conservative who doesn't want government help), I assume you've saved some of that money?
Or you could work at a place devoted to other forms of energy.
Why is whining okay when it's Obama's fault, but when others do it, we're told to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps?
Jon Stewart had a good segment last night on Fox News wondering when we'll quit blaming Bush for travesties and tragedies spawned during his administration. The upshot was that it might come after they quit blaming Clinton and Carter, which they were not only doing eight years into Bush's term, but two weeks ago on the same show that was bemoaning the Blame Game a couple of nights back.

Correction: he cares about them if he can somehow make it all Obama's fault. Somehow, that just makes him even worse.

Environment: big deal.
Lives: who cares?
Oil company jobs: HUGE EMERGENCY!

Requiring BP to use safe techniques would increase jobs ... and therefore labor costs ... which is why BP and Tinshley oppose it.

Fortunately, quick thinking saved the day, as he poured a quart of gin into his thirteenth shrimp cocktail.
