Those damned Crosshairs

What's Mallard raving about today?

CNN, Crosshairs.

The point has been well-made in the comments that violent metaphors and gun references are immaterial. What's material is portraying people with different opinions as enemies, sub-human, and worthy of elimination.

Of course, Mallard and other Right Wing water-carriers know this. But, like with Death Panels, they cling to the Big Lie because it is all they have.

On another note, actual people died from actual gunshot wounds. Stay classy, Mallard.

What's the big deal if the Nazis compared Jews to cockroaches? It's just a metaphor! Jeez! Lighten up!

Dear Bruce,
the part of you will be played by one of the characters in the clip:

Can you guess which one?

You truly, truly are a terrible person, Bruce Tinsley. And you better pray that the atheists are right, because if not, Jesus is going to kick in the balls, son.

What is the purpose of the duck?

If I were a less moral human being (i.e., a Republican), I'd respond to Tinshley's comic by posting a Google Map of his house with crosshairs superimposed. If I were truly unmoored with regard to right and wrong (i.e., a Republican cartoonist), I'd put up pictures of him, his wife, and his children (or, even worse, his liquor cabinet) with targets on them and ask him how he felt about the matter now.

But I'm not that person. In the least.

Bruce Tinsley is calling people "dumb".

Insert your own joke here.

Hey Brave Sir Bruce:

Scrawl a strip that says "I want to assassinate Obama," and see what the Secret Service thinks of your precious metaphor.

Right-wing Laffs: "Ha ha! The people who take us up on our eliminationist rhetoric are so stooopid!"

I want to hit him on the head with a vacuum, saying "Nothing happens in a vacuum, you twit!"

Or he doesn't believe this and is lazier than me. So he's just repeating lies for no reason other than to repeat them and misrepresent arguments.

At least he doesn't have any influence.

Actually, infinitesimal particles can form in a vacuum: That is how Tinsley's brain atom was created.

I learned recently that you can say any hateful, violent thing you want ("someone should put poison in his creme brulet!") as long as (1) you use the magic formula afterwards: "It, was, a, joke!", and (2) you are a conservative. Seriously, don't you wish you had an audience that was that fucking gullible and just aching to be lied to?
