Those damned Stickers

What's Mallard raving about today?

Students

We can't all be intellectual giants, Mallard.

Some of us have to settle for the ability to absorb information independently and think critically, as opposed to having everything packaged by Right Wing propagandists into bite-sized morsels that fit our mental capacity.

Oh, and read LOL Cats for God's sake. Your LOL speak sux.

Tinsley gets paid to write misspelled bumper stickers 'cause LOL KIDS R TEH DUMB. The mind reels.

In the hands of a skilled social commentator, the subject of self-esteem being prioritized over education in schools would be ripe with comedic possibilities.

In the hands of Bruce Tinsley, however...

No. No you are not.

Humorous misspelling hit its peak with Josh Billings and has been going downhill ever since.

Up till today, though, it was coasting.

Yes, yes, Batshit, self-esteem. That greatest of all evils (well, except for a black man being in our white, White House).

Tinsley's idea of a good parent's bumper sticker is "SHUT UP OR I'LL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO REALLY CRY ABOUT, YOU WORTHLESS LITTLE SHIT". He'd totally put that on his wife's car, next to his "LOOK AT ME, MOMMY--I'M GOING GALT!!" sticker.

Personal favorite LOLCAT Classic: "GET A BRAIN MORANS".

So let's ponder this misspelled bumper sticker....

How does a parent having a misspelled bumper sticker have anything whatsoever to do with whether or not the kid is good at spelling? For all we know the kid whose parent has this horrible bumper sticker affixed to his or her vehicle is perfectly capable of spelling. The only thing this bumper sticker reflects on is the lack of spelling ability of the 12 year old kid in the Phillipines who made it.

In other news, I don't think this "comic" was well thought out or well executed. In other words, it was the typical Bruce Tinsley effort.

w.v.: wingsh: what Tinsley orders after an all day bender.

And what goes on in most public school districts is dictated not by snooty high-falutin' self-esteem-advocatin' straw man elites but by school boards and PTAs, which are composed of... regular folks and parents.

Bruce Tinsley: Full of low self-esteem, and proud of it!

Misery loves company. Tins won't rest until everybody's as self-loathing as he is.

Of course he's fighting a losing battle there, because what sets the Tinsh (and his duck) apart from most people is that he really is loathsome.

I mean, Will Rogers never met the man, did he?

The most famous recent examples of misspelling come from teabaggers - it's called Teabonics

Kip W said...

CW, it wouldn't make much of a difference. The actual quote from Rogers is that he "hardly ever" met a man he didn't like. And the worthless talking point repeater isn't really a man anyway, is he? Nor is the duck.
