That damned Syllogism

What's Mallard raving about today?

Teachers, Unions

Mallard Fillmore, not believing he sufficiently made his point yesterday, repeats himself. Only this time, instead of inventing Emailers who agree with him, he creates a Straw Man who does not agree with him.

Silly communist teacher! The "why do you hate America" argument is only valid when used in defense of blowing up, torturing, detaining, and/or deporting brown people! If you're trying to finish wrecking the middle class, your patriotism is beyond question!

Now please let's get back to more pertinent national issues, like demanding that the darkie in the White House release his immunization records or wherever the hell the goalposts have been moved this week.

Just FYI, Brucie, here's an example of how a syllogism actually works:

A) Morons use words without knowing what they mean.

B) Bruce Tinsley uses words without knowing what they mean.

C) Therefore, Bruce Tinsley is a moron.

Privatizing education is a HUGE investment opportunity for the same Wall Streeters who crashed our economy (... this insight courtesy of the mayor of Lansing, on the Rachel Maddow show last night...).

The unions are in the way. If they can get rid of the unions, and turn schools over to private contractors, they can hire the fired teachers at minimum wage with no health care or other benefits. The contractors skim as much off the top as they can, diverting a little for the political campaigns of the governors & legislators who make this possible. The contractors teach the kids to cheat on the tests. Everybody wins!

Except the American educational system, once the envy of the world, is sold to the highest bidder.

Yes, Mr. Tinsley, on the evidence, you DO hate America.

I wish I could find it now, but y'all remember some years back when Tinsley was raging against students being forced to read books by anyone other than dead white males? So, yeah, one of the big questions in judging teachers' acceptability is whether or not they're sufficiently racist/sexist.
