That damned Devil

What's Mallard raving about today?

Voters

Considering both the humor and insight on display today, Mallard Fillmore could have gotten the same result by simply posting a wordless picture of a duck head.

Wait, does this mean the New Year's Predictions series is over? Aw, maaaan, it ain't even FEBRUARY!

But I do enjoy how, every time the primaries draw near, Tinsley switches over from "LIBURUL DEMONRATZ R TEH SUCK" to "ERREYBUDDY IZ TEH SUCK." Wassamatta, fukkaduk? Can't your wondrous, teabagged GOP crap out a single candidate you can support?

Don't worry, Tog. Next week, if Mallard sees his shadow, it'll mean the onset of Mal-entines* until March.

Whereas if he does see it, that means six more weeks of drinking.

* I am not proud that I know this.

Wait, is he talking about Newt and Mittens? I'm pretty sure we know both of those fucktards.

Mark it down, on January 26, 2012 mallard trotted out his excuse for President Obama's re-election.

These Fillmore Foundation polls sure save a heap of asterisks.

I just notice how the Seattle PI website (where DaveyK links to the daily strip) has changed things a bit and now includes this little blurb by the strip:

"Mallard Fillmore continues to be one of the most highly contentious and celebrated comic strips, providing a unique conservative viewpoint to the comics pages. Mallard Fillmore has been a lightning rod for controversy with the right-leaning duck consistently addressing hot button issues and lampooning liberal politicians, the media and cultural establishments."

Oooooo-kayyyyy, riiiigght.

There's "more about this comic" link below that currently links right back to the daily strip with the above blurb. I wonder if it will ever link to anything and if the classic line about "needing a break and not a lecture" will live on.

I'll give this strip all the attention it deserves by asking: So, yeah, what's up with Seattle Pi's Comic Kingdom? You have to click each strip manually, rather than get a bunch to a page now? That clicking's more work in a day than Bruce puts into his little crapfest. And HE gets paid for it!

Hey @Toots - thanks for pointing out the Mallard apologia. I put in a comment and hit "send", and the comment disappeared. If I cared, I'd check back to see if it made it past any filters, but really, who cares? Mallard Fillmore may be full of hatred and dishonest, but it's real defect is being lazily drawn and even more lazily written.
