Those damned postmen

What's Mallard raving about today?

The United States Postal Service, UPS, FedEx.

Even if I give Mallard the benefit of the doubt and stipulate that his postman leaves packages in his driveway, rather than bringing them up to the door, which is what mine does, this particular panel still just cements him as a bitter, angry, crazy crank. And an unimaginative crank, with his edgy opposition to the post office.

I submit that the reason the postman won't come to Mallard's door is because, when he does, Mallard spends 30 minutes berating him over some apocryphal item he's just read on a right wing blog.

I've never had a package left anywhere but my door, unless it's small enough to fit in the mailbox. And this is the post office, the driver gets out, walks up to the covered porch, and leaves my package there.

As do the FedEx and UPS people.

He just hates federal or state employees - teachers, postmen, police officers, firefighters, mayors, governors, senators, representatives, presidents, oh, and military people, they're paid by the government too.

Jesus Christ he's thick.

"Bitter crank" is exactly what occurred to me when I read today's strip. Tinshley has this way of stating apocryphal things that happened to him one time as if it's something They'll Do Everytime. I'm not sure he realizes how crazy he actually sounds when he does this, probably because his brain's too pickled to realize much of anything.

Anyway, I _do_ know that I've never had the Post Office leave a post-it stuck to my front door, saying they tried to deliver a package but couldn't. Unlike, say, Fedex.

Wow, what a f**king nutjob. I think Davey's right, the only reason they won't deliver packages to his front door is because he's Bruce Tinsley.

I get my packages to my door.

This guy is totally in fantasy land.

They do this to be sure that the correct person is accepting the package (and that someone else doesn't steal the package). You can likely give FedEx authorization to leave the package (like I was able to do with DHL).

The US post climbs up two flights of stairs to leave stuff that doesn't fit in my small mail box.

Like others, I don't think this ever happened to Tinsley. Unless, the pepper spray didn't work.
