That damned G. David McClure

What's Mallard raving about today?

Airlines.

Airline jokes. The surest admission that you are bereft of any actual ideas worth writing about.

Tinny reveals that he absolutely refuses to use any sort of references when drawing anything, from caricatures to airplanes.

Of course, air travel would be working so much better if the airlines were privatized...oh, wait.

Air traffic controllers say air travel's a mess in part because they're understaffed, overworked, and waaaaay overstressed, and they warn that it's just a matter of time before that leads to a major disaster. Which is all the liberals' fault, right? Didn't Clinton fire a bunch of them for threatening to stand up for themselves? Oh, wait, that wasn't Clinton. Uh...ooooops.

Further, most of these delays can be attributed to weather, which seems to be crazier every year. ...Which is ridiculous, because that's NOT happening! It's NOT! NOT NOT NOT! And if it IS, it's because of cowfarts! LIBERAL cowfarts! Aha! Gotcha, liberals! It IS your fault!

Bo-ring.

Did something air-travel related happen a couple of weeks ago?

Flew on Monday. Took off on time. Flawless flight. Arrived early. Bags were already waiting for me on the carousel when I got there.

So fuck you, duck.

So either Mallard is reporting from an airplane on a runway somewhere, or he's not a real American? Ok, I'll buy that.

Yo, the air traffic controller firings took place over 20 years ago. Has nothing to do with the present problems. Blame Bush if you wish, but it's not Clinton's fault or Reagan's either.(Which is really the point you are laboring to make, I assume.)

I'm happy you have just enough brainmeat to (sort of) figure out I wasn't really blaming Clinton, anonymous.

But if you think Reagan's mass firing and replacement of ATCs* has no influence on their workplace even today...well, you don't have as much as you need.

(Way to completely miss the bigger picture by the way, yo. "Laboring," that's cute.) 9_9

I've never had issues with airlines.

Well, there was this one time I was late. But there's this whole silly thing where it takes time to melt the ice off the plane so that it's safe to take off (and incidently the runway needed de-iced) But I'm sure that's the silly liberals's fault, you know, demanding they don't die upon takeoff.
