Those damned Violins

What's Mallard raving about today?

Violins, TV.

In 2010, Mallard Fillmore discovered a correlation between the soundtrack and on-screen action.

For what it's worth, he also believes characters on TV should be aware of the soundtrack.

.the two main characters in "John Dies At The End" by David Wong, are rather genre savvy. One example is taking a shower in order to lure the monster nearer. better people then mallard have commented on tropes as well.

IDEA: read TvTropes, draw duck, you're done!

I'm not sayin' that's what happened here; but I am sayin' it'd be better than any other method we've seen in the "comic".

Mallard seems to love him some slasher crap. I would've pegged him as a torture porn nut, myself.

Wow: I don't know if it makes you hip or just stupid to hijack FailBlog for a political ad...

Tinshley definitely needs to read TV Tropes, particularly its page about his work.

Stan Freberg did this 50 years ago on his United States of America LP:

Lookout: Land, ho!

(Dramatic chord)

King: What was that?

Columbus: French horns.

I hear he's working on a searing expose of driveways and parkways. Do I smell Pulitzer?

(Hint: no.)

I think Mad Magazine did that joke about 40 YEARS AGO!!!

Tinsley only enjoys aggressively naturalistic movies with no soundtracks or special effects shot on sound-stages with visible boom mikes and starring random passersby pulled off the street.

Ah Stan Freiberg: The Unite States of America was fun. You can get bits of it on the internets.

why is playing separated by many ellipses? 4 after play, and 3 before ing.

That is a new way to separate a word.

He's innovative, that one!

You can't believe everything you hear ... the diegetic world is so unclear.

If you connect the dots between all the superfluous elliptical marks in this strip, a secret picture will be revealed to you.

Rootbeer: It's a sailboat!

Not much to add to the other commenters correctly pointing out Mallard's lack skill and intellect.

But this makes me post:

WV: tubsofat. Really.

Do you think Rush Limpballs knows about this?
