That damned expression

What's Mallard raving about today?

Speaker Pelosi.

Odd accusation for a duck who has only 2 expressions: blank stare and smug asshole.

Ah yes. The 'anonymous' source that that there's soooo much OUTRAGE over what Pelosi does. Uh-huh.

Yes, Mallard. You're such a rebel, speaking truth to power, bringing the Word of Truth to the People: that certain political opposition leaders don't have expressive faces.

Mallard Fillmore: Because some people think Elementary school recess ended too soon.

...So much OUTRAGE, in fact, that anyone to the left of Glenn Beck is scratching their heads and wonder WTF Batshit's blathering about.

Classic Mallard! A week spent whining about something from three weeks ago that no one cared about three weeks ago.

This "comic" conatains a wall of incomprehensible text, poorly drawn caricature, and a "WTF" inducing "punchline". Yep, it's a Mallard Fillmore "comic".

(Oh, and I would love to see a debate between Nancy Pelosi and Sarah Palin. Nancy would mop the floor with her.)

Tin was so anxious to be done with the strip that he made a couple of hasty errors. What really happened is that Bruce was so excited over the chance to criticize somebody for speaking freely about Fox that he almost drew a facial expression.

Yeah, whatever you say Bruce. (Hey remember when they kicked you out of debate club becasue you felt that it was acceptable to vomit your debating points instead of speaking them? Remember that?)

WV: gamblons. The center gamblon bets three thousand quatloos that Bruce's Pelosi caricature was drawn while holding his pen grasped in his ass. The other gamblons don't want to take the bet. How do they get proof?

Hey, this strip reminds me of one of my favorite facial expressions ever.

I salute Mallard Fillmore's continuing demonstrations of irrelevance!

Meanwhile, in the real news, Koran-Burner Accused of 'Spiritual Abuse' at Cologne Church.

Nice allies the Muslim-haters have got; when you're too authoritarian for the Germans, you've really accomplished something!

(But OTOH the bookburner is great at getting newspaper headlines - something Mallard Fillmore new has.)

@DLAuthor: Thanks for that link! You learn something new every day; aside from the occasional "so-and-so is a fruity little pansy"-style caricature, Batshit's been relatively quiet on gays. Lo and behold, he's a closet John Boehner ("such-and-such is the greatest threat to our blah blah blargh fart fart"). Tell us again how you're not a bigot, Batshit?

Back to the strip: Batshit's #1 Rule is, if you can't attack their governance or policies, go for the personal attack--even if you have to make something up that's preposterously untrue, as is the case here.

But since he's broached the subject, here's a list of my favorite Republican women's facial expressions:

Nancy Reagan, wife of Ronald, who wouldn't even be considered conservative by today's standards;

Ann "kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity" Coulter (It was so hard to pick just one!);

Jan Brewer, rabbit-in-headlights accidental governor of the headless-bodies-nightmare state of Arizona, apparently overrun by Mexicans and drug cartels;

Sharron Angle, who thinks the sole function of a free press is to flog issues that Republicans want to discuss (and suppress those issues they don't want to talk about).

...So, Batshit, you were saying?

But I thought it was hateful and SEXIST and meanspirited and SEXIST and completely beyond the pale and SEXIST to mock a woman's appearance.

Oh, right -- that's only if the woman is a Republican.

To be fair to Tinsley (as a leftist, I feel compelled to be fair even to irredeemable assholes), he DOES characterize the Qur'an-burning thing as "stupid" on his twitter feed. I would have used a stronger word, but hey, baby steps.

...Only because the hate is finally becoming SO open, self-evident, violent, and puerile that it's crossing the border (oh HA) from "recruitment tool" to "liability."

And because this is specifically the sort of thing that can put him in harm's way. The whole point of being a loudmouth right-wing "culture warrior" is to play Tough Guy without actually risking one's comfort, let alone health. Batshit wants HIS crazies to act against HIS enemies, not THEIR crazies to act against HIM.

This particular strip should not be published in newspapers that care about editing. Here's why:
