That damned haircut

What's Mallard raving about today?

The Media, John Edwards haircut.

I think Mallard is criticizing the media for over-covering John Edwards haircut, which, frighteningly is something on which he and I agree.

That said, I do not approve of belabored punchlines that work really hard to be funny and yet are both ham-handed and make no damn sense. Broken Pepsi bottle?

I actually think the idea is along the lines of "John Edwards pretends he relates to the common man, but he spent $400 on a haircut! After the media caught him at it, the big phony is pretending he cuts his own hair!"

Perhaps someday, Mallard and the press will note how much it costs Mitt Romney to employee the architecture firm that maintains his hair. But I doubt it.

Employ. Not employee. Must remember to proofread, even on a Monday morning, so my comments don't read like a freeper wrote them.

How long has it been since Pepsi came in breakable glass bottles? (You just try breaking one of those new-fangled plastic thingies...)

Yeah, but Tinshley's been keeping his homemade bathtub gin in an old glass Pepsi bottle for years now, so it's still current to him.

You want to see great hair? Take a look at Tinsley's mug shot.

How lousy a reporter is Mallard when he starts the Monday morning newscast with the Dow Jones report, when it was last done on Friday? And again I thought that Mallard had integrity as a reporter and felt that TV news was demeaning fluff and yet there he is, talking about someone who gets an expensive haircut.

I can't let the neocon's obsession with expensive haircuts. I thought it was nobody's business how people spend their money. How does it hurt anyone to pay too much money for a haircut? He can easily afford it, it doesn't destroy the environment, it puts money into someone else's pocket, which helps the economy, at least the taxpayer's aren't paying for it and it's not against the law. and from the looks of it, it's not austentasious.

That's the worst drawing of John Edwards that has ever existed.
