Those damned dogs

What's Mallard raving about today?

Reality TV, Wives, Dogs.

Now, I admit that your average Reality TV contestant is probably about as intelligent as, say, a bag of hammers. But, did Screamy McCrazyHair really expect them to take his wife (please) when he signed up to be on a show entitled Dog Swap?

Which I mention only because Mallard is difficult enough to read when he's railing against Liberals; when he devolves into jokes about topics as fresh as airplane food it becomes that much harder.

It's interesting that Tinshley's non-political strips are even suckier than his political ones. I'm not sure what point he thinks he's making. We don't care enough about our wives? We care too much about our dogs?

Karl Rove doesn't supply his material for non-political strips. This is what he comes up with when left to his own devices.

I played enough "Duck Hunt" on my Nintendo Entertainment System to know that dogs are used to hunt ducks. It's really a shame this cartoon is only one panel long, as the dog is just about to go for Mallard's jugular.

I don't know, jokes about failed reality show concepts just don't carry much weight in a world where "conservative duck" is a successful comic strip concept.

here's the (mysoginistic) joke i can make out:

reality show producer: wanna be on a show called "dog swap"?

contestant: sure, i'll swap my wife!

moral: women are dogs.

Is it just my imagination, or is Mallard doing fewer political "jokes" these days?

Could it be penetrating even his moribund cerebellum that, since his side is getting the crap kicked out of it by reality at every turn, and that the targets of his contempt for the past six years have been right about everything, that it might finally be time for him to shut the f@u#c%k@ up?!?
