Those damned green ICBMs

What's Mallard raving about today?

The politics of the future.

Mallard, Mallard, Mallard. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

The environmentalist of the future will still be a pacifist America-hating liberal. They'll only support ICBMs if we are going to use them to plant an herb garden.

It's like he's not even trying....

I think the basic problem is that he doesn't have the slightest understanding of the issues he hopes to satirize.

It seems like he's satirizing conservatives who consider themselves environmentalists

Scanman - he's not that smart. He thinks he's satirizing politics and the environmental movement, and it comes across as mocking his idealogical buddies, but that was not his intention.

It could be seen as mocking democratic congresspeople for compromising on every damn issue. There are conservatives in Congress, but nobody I'd call liberal.

But yeah, that made no sense. Are we going into a new cold war (I thought ICBMs went out with the Berlin Wall) fought in the middle east, while we're enviromentalists?

Actually, I see politicians promising green politics along with everything they do as it becomes more and more important to Americans. Most had to drop the racism and sexism, and they tried to make up for it.

Perhaps that's what we'll see.

"For every civilian killed in Operation Clusterfuck, we will plant a tree."

(No civilians will be killed, as they will posthumously decorated with weapons, so they won't have to plant trees.)

I kind of like how the lady's glasses don't go under her hair like they would in anything approaching reality but rather in this convenient little slit. It's probably more proof that Bruce is demented, but what the hell, it gave me some minor amusement.

The only theory that makes sense, for anyone but Tinsley anyway, would be making fun of conservatives who are jumping on the "green" bandwagon for political gain. For Tinsley, it's probably something more like "Environmentalists stupid, ha ha!"
