Those damned leaders

What's Mallard raving about today?

Power-hungry megalomaniacs, Barack Obama.

Petulant refusal to engage in diplomacy is not a sign of strength, although I will admit it's what passes for foreign policy among the tiny-brained.

But the larger question: Where the hell is Mallard? Is he afraid to confront Senator Obama himself?

But..but..why talk when you can bomb or send in troops?

Also notice the way Tinsley equates Senator Clinton with Fidel etc. Of course, he puts the words into the mouth of his fictional Barak Obama, but the implication is certainly there.

Barack's eyes are open!

But he has a Leno chin.

His ears, Tinny! That's what you exaggerate, sheesh.

Why is the background yellow? It was blue yesterday. Yet another good reason for it to be in the black and white viewpoint section.

I'm sure Tinshley thinks it's equally reprensible for the Shrub to walk hand-in-hand with assorted members of the Saudi royal family. I mean, given that they're totalitarians who are in many important ways worse than Castro (although perhaps not Kim Jong-Il). He's just too busy* to deal with that.

Also, yeah, the whole not-talking-to-North-Korea thing worked real well for Dubya, didn't it? I mean, except for the goddamn nukes, that is.

Poor caricature, bad punchline, lame political message. Overall rating: feeble.

And I think Mallard couldn't make the Obama interview because he has to bike 20 miles to work.

What we need is a president who won't even talk to our allies! Four more years! Four more years! Four more horsemen!

What's wrong with meeting with foreign dictators and human rights violators?

Meeting isn't the same as giving a thumbs up and a "you go, girl!"

I mean, if it's down to the nitty-gritty cowboy style of dealing with the enemy that was what Bush was portrayed as doing *snort*, even they meet up. Do stuff like demand surrender and perhaps glare silently and when they lack diplomacy resort to insulting mothers. But they MEET.

Someone should remind Mallard of the words of a conservative hero named Winston Churchill, that "Jaw Jaw is better than war war."
