That damned Clock

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Carter, Racism.

Mallard, you lie.

What the hell IS this gibberish? Seriously--what in god's name must it be LIKE to live inside Tinsley's head? Or ANY wingnut's, for that matter? The imagination literally fails. I cannot conceptualize it at all, in any way.

If you're seeing Jimmy Carter in your living room, it's time to lay off the sauce.

It's a funny world when Rush Limbaugh's Barrack the Magic Negro is taking the world forward but Carter's call for serious self-examination with racism and disagreement with the president is seen as taking the country backwards.

And for the recent troll ticks:
And that's what Campbell soups are... mmmm...mmmm good!

As for Rush Limbaugh, if it's liberals who are bitter and hateful and he's just funny, then I must conclude that Rush Limbaugh wants to consume Barrack Obama slowly, savoring every bite because he's delicious. Or he was bitter and hateful because that's what keeps his paychecks coming in.

If Tinsley keeps this up, by Friday he will be the new Stephen Colbert...except it will be even more ironic.

Also ironic: for those of us in the real world, Obama himself put this "controversy" to bed within twenty-four hours. As far as I am aware, Tinsley and Tinsley alone is still raving and foaming at the mouth about it.

Heh. Jimmy said "Obaminable"!

Yeah, I know, it's not really what he said. When you're in a Tinsley forum, though, you learn to find humor wherever possible, just for relief from the headache-inducing tar-smelly unfunny of the strip itself.

Combine his lag time with the "one concept per week" thing, and it's like a series of slow-moving glimpses of feeble, forgotten bogeymen. Less a chamber of horrors than a parade of slight annoyances.

Does anybody know what this is supposed to mean?

Hello, my name is Ex-President Strawman, I am the embodiment of the fevered imagination of a delusional, water-carrying waterfowl. I'm going to emit a peanut fart which will be ignited by a spark eminating from a faulty tube in the duck's information delivery system (aka, television). The resulting explosion will cause the ducks feathers to be charred and his bill to be mangled in a hilarious way. That's all folks. (If you don't like my scenario, don't blame me. I had 79.9 hours less than a certain cartoonist to write that.)

But seriously, what are these "young people" trying to turn the clock forward to? The Palin administration, which we will all be allowed to criticize without any countering opinions being knee-jerkily hurled back at us? A future time when our country will be "given back" to us, praise the lord? The publication of all those "history books" that celebrate the awe inspiring achievements of George W. Bush, at least to extent to which this can be accomplished by a pop-up book.

I can't argue with this one.

Mainly because I have no clue what it is trying to say.

Rootbeer said...

Oh, I think I get it now.

Bruce Tinsley took a statement made by nobody -- "A lot of old people say they're not racists.... They say they simply disagree with the President on policy grounds! Don't believe 'em.... ....they're just trying to turn the clock back...." -- and replaced every component of it with its opposite. He spent 30 hours this week staring at the Wikipedia page for 'satire', and mistakenly believed he understood what it is.

Anonypederast is going to be disappointed that there aren't any children in that linked video for him to whack it to. Mmmm, mmm, mmm.

Tinshley, on the other hand, is just yelling random things at this point, probably while covered in drying puke while his liver cries out in anguish because it looks more and more like Gorgonzola cheese.

The GOP, the conservative movement, the HATEtriots like Tinkley are committing generational suicide by being such asshats. Can you imagine any young person associating themselves with any figure on the right today?a

Unfortunately, yes. To paraphrase the words of Jesus, "The stupid you will always have with you."

See also the quote from John Stuart Mill in my comment on the previous thread.

WV: tragini -- tragic pasta.

Toots McGee said...

That's not true, rewinn. Campus conservative movements are being squashed by folksingeresque radicals who run higher education.

Oh wait, most right thinking young people know not to waste their time with college education because they don't teach courses like "White People's History" and "Dinosaurs As Biblical Fact", so it must be jew media manipulation of the free market of ideas, or something...let me get back to you on this.

Could Mallard be a "false flag" operation, actually set up by liberals to make Republicans seem even more idiotic than they proved themselves to be when they renominated Bush/Cheney? No, on second thought, that would be a superfluity.

Congratulations, Tinsley, you have implied that racial sensitivity and free speech encourage cultural advancement. I agree, although, of course, you intended to say the opposite. Maybe, if you could write at a greater-than-sixth-grade level, you would be able to avoid such blatantly obvious mistakes that no one who was more than subliterate would make.

Word Verification: Shnequal, what Tinsley thinks Black protesters say. "Ah's be a shnequal, shoop da whoop!

About 75% of Mallard Fillmore comics that have been made since Obama got into office have basically been "HEY, I'M NOT RACIST, IT'S YOU LIBERAL FAGS THAT ARE RACIST. I DON'T NEED TO TELL YOU WHY THOUGH."

There is, uh, something that about that.
