What's Mallard raving about today?
Moammar Khadafy, Keith Olbermann.
And so, the Right Wing attempts to paint MSNBC as somehow equivalent to the Fox Propaganda Outlet. Some people on MSNBC provide a much needed alternative viewpoint in today's News landscape.
But equivalent to Beck? Limbaugh? O'Reilly? Malkin? Coulter? Hannity?
Hardly.

Liberals love terrorists. Wow, that's refreshing and witty. What social commentary! How does he stay on top of current events like that? OH-hoho, you've been ZINGED, America!
Really? Really? Olbermann is CRAZY TOWN NUTTERSVILLE TIMES!!! But Glenn Beck and Limbaugh are perfectly reasonable and rational? Wow, okay then.
Yeah, when you say that probably the sanest person in the news industry is crazy, you basically kill every and all arguments you have made and will make in the future. Not like Ducky ever had a point though.
I know this cartoon looks like it was drawn by a child*, but is it too much to ask that the speech bubble go in front of Gaddafi's hair, thus avoiding the M.C. Escher 3-D impossibility that's hurting my head right now?
* nice symmetry on that peacock, Brucie. It baffles me how this was made by a man who is paid to draw.
You have to remember that the neocon's view of the MSNBC demographic is that they're all stoned, drunk, long haired hippies and would therefore find anything amusing.
The joke basically relies on the premise that the reader is living 4 or 5 decades in the past and rebelling against Woodstock.
I again feel forced to point out the depiction of a minority that tinsely doesn't like. The caricature doesn't even seem recognizeable instead we sort of have a poodle-fro going and very big teeth.
But yeah, the idea that somehow you love terrorists if you are a liberal... That would be the same functionally as claiming that all conservatives loved fascists and murderers.
"...appeals to our demographic..."
This is the first time I've ever actually wanted to kick a cartoonist in the balls.
Here's a handy checklist:
Limbaugh (Fox): Addicted to Vicodin and Percoset, violated Florida's doctor-shopping laws.
O'Reilly (Fox): Sexually harassed his producer (and reportedly other interns), then paid her millions to drop the case.
Coulter (Fox): Evidently lied about her age in 1980, and voted illegally while she was underage.
Beck (Fox): Alcohol addiction, drug addiction, diagnosed with a psychiatric condition. Often cries on-air, and believes in the birther conspiracy.
Olbermann (MSNBC): Spoke out against Bush.
Hey guys, I think we scared all the conservatives away, so now we can talk about how much we secretly LOVE terrorism and hate America, babies, baseball, apple pie, etc.
You can't blame a neocon for thinking Liberals love terrorists.
After all, what we think should be done to terrorists and what some of them think is all you have to do on a date to get sex: give them food and listen to them talk. And that's love, right?
"That would be the same functionally as claiming that all conservatives loved fascists and murderers."
You mean they DON'T?
WV: mepro. What Hulk said after giving up his amateur status.
Olbermann's Special Comment on Health Care came out after Tinshley scribbled today's "comic". Among its less important or intended consequences, it makes today's "comic" look stupid.
In lieu of saying anything about today's dumber-than-usual comic, I present the following comment what I done found:
A friend told me about the Conservative cartoon Mallard Fillmore and now I follow the strip daily If there has been some controversy here at citizenwells about Mallard Fillmore here, I missed it somehow.
I believe that the cartoonist, Bruce Tinsley, deserves a Pulitzer. He is a voice crying in the wilderness of the liberal dominated press. I found a website that displays Mallard’s latest strip, Jewish World Review. It has a link to subscribe to the daily JWR Update if you want, but you can just read Mallard Fillmore and have a few laughs. You can also view Mallard archives.
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/strips/mallard/2000/mallard1.asp
Next to Glenn Beck, Bruce Tinsley is my hero.
October 13th, 2009...the date that Tinsley discovers he can just cut and paste parts from previous strips into the next day's.
Jewish World Review gives Tinsley play because he'll always bash "A-rabs" as terrorists who deserve to be bombed, strafed, imprisoned, tortured, and otherwise "civilized" by the US and poor little Israel.
And yet JWR has no problem whatsoever when Tinsley draws Jon Stewart like this.
You know, I finally watched Brucie's YouTube video recently -- the one in which he admits that he's too lazy to draw backgrounds and claims that his 80 - 90 hours of research a week consists mainly of reading every newspaper that he can get his hands on (just like Sarah Palin, right?).
This strip, however, is further proof that Brucie's "research" consists mainly of swilling booze while watching Fox "News" Channel.
I take back what I said yesterday. Today's Ka-Daffy looks like a bad carving of an Eater Island head on a moldy coconut.
I believe that the cartoonist, Bruce Tinsley, deserves a Pulitzer. [...] Next to Glenn Beck, Bruce Tinsley is my hero.
...why oh why the everlasting technicolor Hell can these people's stupidity not burn them too?
Olbermann should learn to be as sane as Tinsley:
* He needs to be paranoid about government spies, immigrant animals and Communist plots.
* He should believe that he is the sole source of criticism towards the liberals he thinks are plotting against him.
* He should think that Communists can be elitists, Blacks are oppressing Whites with social programs, torutre is nice and pleasant.
* He should plot to send Hg--Mercury, as far as Tinsley understands--to government officials (yes, Tinsley encouraged this, look it up in the archive.)
* He should drive drunk, regardless of arrests.
* He should believe that Asians are Nazis, plotting against the government.
* He should believe that social programs worsen the country and make everyone miserable.
Word Verification: Astasyl, the imaginary God Tinsley sees when he mixes his Hedlitin with D.M.T, or fails to silence the voices with regular doses of Hedlitin.
He is a voice crying in the wilderness
Huh. So Brucie is actually an amalgam of the Right's caricatures of Al Gore and Howard Dean?
Say what you will, I'd rather see that poor caricature of the Libyan leader than the staring eyes of Mallard. Let Moammar take over the strip and call it Kadaffy Duck.
