That damned quote

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Clinton, Terrorists.

Blame the evil acts on the people who commit them? I look forward to Mallard going after Republican Steve King (Iowa) who blamed the victims and justified terrorism:
I think if we’d abolished the IRS back when I first advocated it, he wouldn’t have a target for his airplane. And I’m still for abolishing the IRS, I’ve been for it for thirty years and I’m for a national sales tax. [...]It’s sad the incident in Texas happened, but by the same token, it’s an agency that is unnecessary and when the day comes when that is over and we abolish the IRS, it’s going to be a happy day for America.
And, for what it is worth, if (unlike Mallard and his readers) you care about the truth as opposed to the ridiculous Straw Men (against whom Mallard racks up his only wins in arguments). you can go here or here.

Mallard is, of course, proving President Clinton's point by demonizing President Clinton is lieu of reasoned discussion or debate.

Not an original sentiment, of course, but sometimes it just needs to be repeated: fuck you, Tinsley, you worthless, evil-minded little apparatchik.

"Blaming evil acts on the people who actually commit them?" That's a fine idea, but it's also flippin' hilarious coming from the pathetic lowlife who wants "people who look like terrorists"--and we know exactly what you mean when you write that, Batshit--to be exclusively checked by the TSA.

As usual, real life knocks Batshit's legs out from under him; following the failed bombing attempt in Times Square, forums were aflame with accusations against Obama for "apologizing to terrorists" (citation needed) and demands that various spots around the world be nuked forthwith.

Now that video has been posted indicating a(nother) white guy out to blow his fellow Americans up to water the Tree of Liberty, that's all gotten REAL quiet (again).

...Well, except when I suggested the Malkin-style solution of interring all Republican white males in camps for the duration of the War on Terror. Then there were a lot of high-pitched squeals about how that was unfair, and more than a few Internet-tough-guy violent threats.

Didn't Batshit just recently complain that it wasn't fair to bring up Tim-Tim McVeigh because there weren't any other notable angry white boy terrorists? In spite of the fact that there are? WHOOPS.

Clinton's point, regardless of how Batshit tries to twist his words, is fully valid. He asked the Wrong Wing to tone down their dehumanizing, violent, eliminationist rhetoric before someone got hurt. History solidly backs Clinton on this, but of course Rush and Company completely lost their marbles over it, because such rhetoric is all they have.

Jeez, too bad Tinshley wasn't around to make this argument in early 2003, huh?

Or are the rules different when it's about brown people?

Some of these people Bill Clinton was calling out say that your vote won't work and the government is going to swoop in and take away your rights. If you start to believe that all to be true, logically how would you respond? Vote? It's been stolen by ACORN and Obama wants to be KING FOREVER. Peacefully protest? No one listens to those or covers them on the news. Move to another country? This is America, as given by the sainted founded fathers (may they live forever) and GOD to conservatives. Fight? Well, there is this 2nd amendment...

It doesn't take that much mental power to figure out that when you create the illusion that the current administration is an invading force, that some people will respond as if they actually are.

Actually, Tin put his own words in the last panel in one of those revealing mistakes Freud told us about. The logical last panel would have been something like "Crazed right-wing zealots," and they're his audience -- and none of his "us" would have wanted that!

WV: shlat. A major accomplishment for the cartoonist. "Well, I just shlat out another one!"

I was gonna complain that today's "comic" didn't have a punch line (... I mean, c'mon, any decent politial writer can do a dozen Bill Clinton jokes before your first cuppa coffee...); wtf does "I don't think any of us want that!" mean in this context? Clinton (who was a target of a rightwing assassination attempt involving a small plane) wants to absolve rightwing terrorists of blame? That just lacks any form of humor even if it weren't wrongheaded.

But then the REAL problem hit me: of all the commentary following the terrorist attack on the IRS that murdered one American public servant, there was ZERO mention of the conservative pundit Mallard Fillmore.

Zero.

Not even murderous rightwing wackos read him. That's gotta hurt!

Tinsley's editor used the ellipses to edit out the words "...N----, K----, F---- and T----H----..." and "...except anyone from the superior Aryan race.

Word Verification: Ruenu, I rue any new Mallard Fillmore.

OK, Brucie -- maybe you could tell us who ACTUALLY threw bricks through the windows of Democratic lawmakers' offices, and who ACTUALLY instructed his listeners to do exactly that.

Maybe you could tell us who ACTUALLY left all those abusive and threatening messages on Democratic lawmakers' answering machines.

Maybe you could tell us who was ACTUALLY carrying all those signs comparing Obama to Hitler.

Maybe you could tell us who was ACTUALLY coming to political rallies carrying loaded firearms and waving signs threatening the violent overthrow of the government.

Maybe you could tell us who ACTUALLY flew that plane into the IRS offices in that government building.

We're waiting...

Yeah, anyone who calls America the Great Satan and says that people should attack it isn't at fault for anti-American hate at all!

That's what he's saying, right? After all, Islamic religious extremists are as right wing as you can get! He couldn't be so hypocritical as to suggest that it's OKAY TO INCITE NUTS TO KILL AMERICANS if you're a white, Christian Republican, right?

This is totally off-topic, but a little while ago I walked by a TV here at work that was tuned to FoxNews and they had Mike "Heckuva Job Brownie" Brown on ABSOLUTELY SLAMMING President Obama over the gulf oil gusher! My head almmost exploded from the cognitive dissonance evident just about made my head explode. (I think the tool interviewing him was Neil Cavito???, I don't know those guys, but I think that was him).

wow, that was a poorly typed and messed up paragraph, hope I still got my point across, lol.

But if all terrorists are Muslim (in rightwing land), what is the connection to Rush Limbaugh and his ilk?

I don't get it.

Is he saying we should hold Scott Roeder accountable? Well we did, he's in jail, may he rot there.

This just makes no damn sense.

Also, the same people (Tinz, Rush, etc) were squawking about how Obama had been indoctrinated because he went to a madrassa in Indonesia for a brief period of time.

And they blame Al Jazeera for showing Bin Laden's tapes, saying he will influence terrorists and incite hatred.

But when they say hateful things like what Palin said (something about gun sights?), it has no effect on people.

But other people are totally swayed! Not their listeners.

Ah, now the Times Square wannabomber is (currently) "Pakistani-American," so the klansmen are burning up the forums again. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Meanwhile, a (no doubt "activist") judge has released the Michigan 'Hutaree'tards, that "militia" of treasonous malcontent (and 100% white) scumbags that planned to murder police officers, then attack their families at the funerals.

Gosh, d'ya think Batshit will make a strip about that?

Be here in about a week or two, where Mallard finds a way to blame the Democrats and Obama for the volcano in Iceland.

It would be funnier to talk about blaming volcanoes on Dems if it wasn't for that fact that Rush already did.

Oh, right, he was being FUNNY and my liberal sense of humor didn't catch it.

Mallard seems to be conveniently forgetting that some of these people that the FBI watches suffer from PTSD or other mental problems that stem from being a combat kill-or-be-killed situation most of the time and that it is entirely irresponsible for chickenhawks to be telling these veterans that the government is coming to kill grandma. Just because you don't have a certain button doesn't mean you are blameless if you go pushing someone else's.
