That damned Poll

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama.

Mallard Fillmore never said a word when President Bush's approval rating dove into the 20's and stayed there, so he has no standing to comment while President Obama's approval ratings are in the mid-40's.

So, when are Batshit's "best strips I've ever written" supposed to show up, again? Because this crap isn't just incredibly weak--it's OLD and weak.

Besides, I hear geese flew over the White House last week. By neocon standards, that means God has given his blessing to Obama. See? I can do it too!

Davey - you need to add an 'FU' option to the Reactions. That's what I thought as soon as I read this... FU Tinsley.

You know what else is huge in Europe?

Decent health care with no private health insurance hassle.

There just might be something to European opinions.

Ooh, BURN! Obama's ratings are almost as low at this point in his first term as Reagan's and Clinton's were, and about where Bush's would have been if W hadn't had a sudden ratings windfall due to his own incompetence in allowing a terrorist attack to occur. Furthermore, I... uh oh. It's Code Orange: time for critics to shut up and pull together as Americans.

And don't forget: During the Bush years the world's opinion of America, particularly in Europe, fell to record low levels.

How are Mallard Fillmore and harvesting sugar cane similar?

They're both hack jobs.

Lemme know when Obama is below 20% for a year and a half.

Meanwhile, when polled about their opinion of Bruce Tinshley:

3%: "Oh, fuck that drunken hack."
2%: "That bastard still hasn't settled his bar tab."
.5%: "You mean that idiot who said I was the real racist when I told him to step out of the car?"
94.5%: "Who?"

You've got to remember this about polls: When they show high approval for Democrats and/or low approval for Republicans, they're absolutely meaningless.

When Republicans are high and Democrats are low, then they truly reflect the voice of the American public.

And the punchline is ... what?

When I was traveling overseas after Bush's reelection, I embarrassingly had to reassure people I didn't vote for him when they brought it up. I'm glad those days are over.

By any measure, Europe has the highest quality of life index in the world; their beer may be overrated, but those guys know how to run a civilization. It's a good sign when they like our leaders.

Tinsley: Sociopath said...

I guess Tinsley, having declared the White race to be superior to all others a few days ago, decided that his declaration was insufficiently specific. Today, he explains that he means American Whites, not foreigners.

Rewinn, the punchline is that the President wants to be nice to, and respected by others. Tinsley, being a Narcissistic sociopathic, does not understand the concept of morality, or relativism, and considers any example of humility to be evil.

Tinsley is, for all intents and purposes, an animal: Humans, unlike animals, have a sense of self-awareness, the ability to think abstractly, and the concepts of morals, ethics, and guilt. Tinsley, like every animal, lacks all of these things.

My dog has those things. Also, my dog has never been cited for a DWI.

Tinsley < my dog.

NickE - one of my dogs acting silly/stupid > Tinsley. Watching Wickett be harassed by his tail is entertaining. Watching a 12 pound poodle mop take on a 50 pound chow mix will make me laugh for hours.

Also, I bet they can draw.

Rewinn - the punchline is um... I think based on some BS about how "You haven't heard of X/me, they're/I'm huge in Europe."

Since I've started watching more foreign films, being big in America is... so unimportant when a billion people are your fans. But he's not big in America, so he doesn't matter!

Actually, the new car shine is off in Europe as well.
