That damned Teleprompter

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama, Teleprompters

Someone wake me when this particular series of gripes is over.

Any readers of the Hagerstown (MD) Herald-Mail who give a shit about MF continuity will be confused by this strip, as we got Saturday's strip on Friday as well as Saturday. Thus, I'm thinking of submitting a summary of this strip as a letter to the editor, to show that Mallard's "humor" loses nothing when translated out of a visual medium.

WV: bersesti. Hmm... a joke that the teller thinks will make you split your sides laughing, but instead makes you wonder how closely related his parents were.

Teleprompter crap AND Joe Biden crap.

Biden wasn't my choice for VP, and his less-than-awesome judgement on occasion was one reason for that. But before I seriously criticize his judgement, let me know when he pushes for authorizing torturing people, or shoots someone in the face.

It is now apparent that "went rogue" or "going rogue" means absent from duty without official leave (AWOL). Somehow that seems to work (again, not as intended).

I do not need a bullshit teleprompter to tell that asshole Tinsley what the Hell he should hear every day: Fuck you, and all this racist technophobia homophobic closeted-gaybitching.

Word Verification: Weigult, if Tinsley was not a sociopath, he would be weighed down by endless gult.

The idea of person A talking like person B can be funny, but the cartoonist has to write funny text and not sabotage it with the "artwork".

Today's "comic" suffers from both faults. The 1st panel has twice as many words as needed; the entire 1st clause of the word balloon is unneeded; and even the last panel has too many words (...does anyone who is likely to understand this "joke" really need to be told that he's the vice-president?)

The artwork torpedo's the story line by having nothing to separate the scenes; it looks like there are two Mallards in the same room as Obama.

This is the hackiest of hackwork. And also, as others have noted, of no interest to any American although, as I mentioned yesterday, part of the propaganda effort to depict Obama as phoney. Obama may be fairly criticized on many grounds, chiefly of being too chummy with the Republicans who are trying to knife him but also of continuing too many Bush-era policies, but he is a fairly genuine human being, as politicians go.

I had to reread the first wall of text because I thought it said Obama went rogue and escaped...

It's not hard to read by itself, but in that jumble it's just too much and unnecessary.

Okay then.

So, with everything that's going on, MF still has no new material? No new talking points, just the same crap from 4 years ago?

Aside from all the other usual and typical BS and incompetence, are we really supposed to believe Biden's comments (such as "effing big deal") were read off a teleprompter? Isn't the whole issue with Biden supposed to be his *inability* to follow a script?

All of MF is a FAIL in so many ways, but this is an especially massive FAIL.
