That damned Year

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama, President Bush

Which would make it, what, the 20th year of the Clinton economy? Except for those good years when Clinton was President, which were years 9-15 of the Reagan Presidency, right?

We all know that Republicans are firm believers in personal responsibility for Democrats. Even in the darkest years of the Bush recession, there was always some Democrat somewhere to blame, even if he'd been in his grave since the 1940s.

Since Mallard brought it up ... I am *really* looking forward to seeing George W Bush campaign for Mitt Romney in 2012.

Leave it to Brucie to inadvertently tell the truth while attempting to take yet another tiresome partisan potshot.

Happy New Year!

As long as our government keeps spending money on peacekeeping in Iraq and Afghanistan, and keeps extending the 'temporary' tax cuts of the early '00s, fucking right we're going to keep calling it "the Bush Economy."
