What's Mallard raving about today?
Remember kids, if not enough people have jobs, throw more people out of work: problem solved!
Mallard finally gets around to condemning the economic practices of the Bush administration. Not that he realizes it.
Back when conservatives kept saying "Reagan never raised taxes," I used to say "He raised them on our kids, and their kids, and their grandkids."
No nation has every "austeritied" itself into prosperity. Even conservative economists say that WW2 brought our USA into prosperity; liberal economists say it was the New Deal, so they only disagree as to the type of spending needed, not the amount. The Bush and Obama "stimulus" were far below the amount needed, and too much was wasted on politically popular tax cuts. Even so, our economy is in recovery which is pretty remarkable considering the 30 years of job exports starting with Reagan.
