What's Mallard raving about today?
The U.N., News Corporation, O.J. Simpson, CBS News, Lara Logan, Katie Couric, Bob Schieffer, Jim Axelrod.
Wow, Mallard goes after Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, parent corporation of his beloved Fox News, for the OJ Simpson If I Did It book/program debacle!
You'd almost say that shows real stones, except then you realize that he names names in the other two predictions (the U.N., CBS News) and yet somehow manges to omit referencing News Corporation or Fox Broadcasting directly.
On the plus side, however, I didn't know who Lara Logan was, so I Googled her. Rowr!

Grrr! The phrase is "its ratings"! Not "it's ratings"! I am Grammar Nazi, hear me roar!
Thus, more proof that the editors at the syndicate doesn't read "Mallard Fillmore" to check for spelling/grammar errors.
And about every month or so Mallard does some snotty grammar correction strip. And he is obnoxiously obsessive about conjugating the word media correctly (technically) as a plural noun. He just knows a few pet grammar rules to act superior about (or "about which he can act superior") He's like one of those people who use "whom" constantly whether it's appropriate or not just because they think it sounds better.
What a jerk.
Now, does this strip make it sound like they actually went ahead with the book?
How far is the lag time on the Sundays?
Is it just me, or does the UN guy look less like an America-hating "barbarian" than he does a pompous waiter from a Jack Benny style comedy?
