What's Mallard raving about today?
Barack Obama, racism.
Less than a month ago, John McCain was being portrayed by Mallard as a closet Democrat. Suddenly, John McCain plays the part of long suffering Saint to Big Bad Obama's cries of racism.
I'm shocked at the turnaround. I'm less shocked by the fact that this may be the most delusional Mallard Straw Man ever.

This crazy-angry looking, Elmer Fudd-like caricature of McCain can't possibly help his campaign, so...thank you, Brucie Boy.
In Tinny's mind, John McCain and the common perception of Harry Reid are interchangeable? Yoiks. Keep helping us, Tinny, I'm loving it.
It wasn't so long ago that a "former" rightwing cartoonist depicted a fat white guy, labeled "Bigotry," voting for Hillary over Obama--so transparent a cheap shot that I doubt even Tinny would touch it (on the rare sober day at least)--but it is fun to watch these gits flip-flop over which Democratic candidate terrifies them the most...
Keep remembering this, you Tighty-Whities-On-The-Righties: John McCain was your best candidate this time--and not only do you still hate his living guts, you nonetheless have no one to blame but yourselves for his ascension (although I'm sure you already have a litany of reasons why it's the Liberal Media's fault).
It pleases me to know that no matter who it may be, the next President will be absolutely despised by Mallard.
He's making Obama looking stupid by implying that Obama cried racist and making McCain look stupid by implying that he is "sensitive" (dirty word to conservatives, hence quotes, as opposed to "code" which is code for code) and fires staff members based on said cries.
Basically you have one strawman act based on another strawman. Watch the puppets dance inside Mallard's head, folks! Reality ain't got nothin on him!
Ladies and gentlemen, next year's Bolger award winner!
next year's Bolger award winner!
I misread that as "whiner".
Poor Tinsley is whining because, like the donkey in the fable, he's stuck between two strawmen and doesn't know which to go for first.
What a touching cartoon for the 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s death. Real class there, Bruce.
Poor Tinny. He's really heartbroken about Romney, isn't he?
Yeah, this one seems more of a dig at McCain. You have to remember that from the conservative viewpoint it's a BAD thing to feel sorry for offending someone. I guess because real men are tough (yes, men... no room for women in the good old boys conservative political world! That's why they hate Hillary so much... how DARE she enter a man's realm when there are perfectly good kitchens left unattended!) and they shouldn't get their feelings hurt.

In the immortal words of my man Kenny Zaraki: "Sanity? Sorry, I don't recall ever having anything like that."
@anon: "I guess because real men are tough [...] and they shouldn't have feelings to hurt."
Fixed that for you.
I've been wondering where this "Obama calls innocent statement by McCain staffer racist" plot comes from. My guess is that it's Tinsley's response to that time one of Hillary's people said Obama had it easy being a black man and....um....Wright, whom Obama's opponents seem to view as a proxy for him, gave an angry sermon about how white women had it easier than black men?
